Slick lookin' axe! The scales in particular were really snazzy. Also, the sickle/kama-style edge under the back spike clicked some kind of button for me that I didn't realize needed clicking.

Beautiful axe! Though, it being a survival axe, I’m not sure how well a rear spike would apply in a survival situation. I myself would prefer to have some kind of hammer face for striking things, like driving stakes. In addition if the cheeks tapered nicely up to the hammer face it would help with splitting up small rounds of wood. Still a wonderful piece and masterful work, great job!

I ground round the edges to clean it up and i also thermocycled prior to HT to relieve any internal stress
