Making a Kinetic Whip Sword - Will It Work?

Making a fully functional edge aligning Whip Sword, the flex gives it some kinetic energy over a standard sword, this was probably one of the longest planned builds I've made, took lots of figuring out to get it working and making it safe.

I'll be honest, I've seen a number of whip swords done, most of which are then complicated by retracting mechanisms to make it a 'regular' sword. Of all of them, this is by far the most functional and reliable build I have seen. And I haven't even gotten to the beauty of it. LOL. I love how you approach these things from a totally different angle and create something useful, reliable and gorgeous every damn time. Cheers!!

Would recommend putting a mushroom like curve on blade segments, or some kind of trapezoidal shape with points so they tear when dragged across. Something similar to concertina wire.

This I like. I would have only done one thing different in my insignificant opinion, I would have made the blade sections perpendicular to each other instead of in line so that no matter how the weapon was turned I got bite into what I was swinging at. No worries for blade alignment then. I’m curious to know what you do with all your builds. I imagine you set up in some cobblestone tunnel, all your builds behind you saying “Get yer wares here, weapons and wares for sale, get yer wares here. That or some room lined in cedar with all your builds displayed in all there glory. But I digress, love the build and channel. Be safe.
