@anastasiyamanolova968
@anastasiyamanolova968 3 жыл бұрын
@@youtube.handle69 Yes, she is taking them for both reasons. Also if your diet is well balanced and healthy and you don't go too far with supplements, there is nothing wrong with taking them. Furthermore, she doesn't tell her followers/ anyone else it is a necessity to take supplements. And I am also sure that if it didn't feel good for her body she wouldn't be taking them. They are just a convenient source of energy/ protein. Everyone can be free to do whatever they want, as long as they don't push their diet on others (which Krissy obviously doesn't). Anyway, sorry for the rant. Have a great day! :)

I am glad that Abby brought up how it kind of felt like a 20 minute ad, that is how I felt with all the supplements from her brand, it was obvious she wants to sell that to people, and yes thats the goal of a brand but it made me ask myself the question " if you did not own this brand, how much of this would you be taking" and then the obvious question as well do you actually take all of those everyday?

I just wanted to come back and say that you helped me rethink my relationship with food and accept that it was unhealthy. I was in serious denial and actually felt angry when you'd talk about intuitive eating, because I thought that could never work for me. I thought I was just going to be stuck binge-eating my entire life. Watching you, hearing you talk about the current research, allowed me to realize that I was still in restriction mode and was fixated on certain categories of food I'd labeled as "bad." I adopted a more intuitive eating approach and yes, probably overate a lot of "forbidden" items temporarily, but I think it was a necessary reset after years of diet culture programming. Food in general has lost much of its power over me. Sure, I love food, deeply enjoy eating, and don't eat a pristine diet. But I also no longer eat until I'm uncomfortable, nor feel intense food anxiety. I don't obsess over certain foods anymore because I no longer deny myself anything. Rather than forbidding myself from eating certain things then binging on them impulsively, I now enjoy them regularly, but in moderation. It's amazing how the desire to gorge on various foods disappeared when I stopped telling myself I wasn't allowed to eat them 😑

@@AbbeysKitchen the new one is really worth taking a look at. She is one of the very carefully selected fitness influencers/social media influencers/however it is said nowadays I follow, that I really, truly admire and whose principles I feel like it's actually good to follow. The newest video was a pleasant surprise to me, in the midst of tasteless foods promoted by influencers and useless advices they (usually) give, Whitney is a breath of fresh air. 😄

I'm recovering from anorexia and your videos really help me get an idea of what I should be eating, but I also live in Japan with a very limited budget and it's really difficult to get the nutrition I need through food that doesn't scare me and is also affordable. I eat mostly tofu, cabbage, and bean sprouts now and although this is affordable and familiar, I know, at least on an intellectual level, that I should be challenging myself with fear foods and relearning how to enjoy "indulgent" food. Can you make a video on how to eat well when feel good, whole grain, all natural, no additive type foods are too expensive or not available? Thank you for sharing your insight on a healthier food ethic and I hope you're doing ok through the pandemic!

I would have liked to see Abbey review Krissy's app as well, or at least some of the videos she made on nutrition and diet. In one of them she said that to lose weight she reduces her calories by 10% which according to her is around 100kcal for her. So that means she usually eats around 1000kcal. I wonder if the app recommends equally low energy diets...
@georgiamay5306
@georgiamay5306 3 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty certain it doesn't. If you watch enough of her videos you'll notice that Krissy is a massive advocate of encouraging everyone to make sure they are eating enough and fuelling themselves correctly. She doesn't advocate cutting out food groups etc. I once looked into her app and if anything I more saw girls complaining that the suggested food consumption the app suggested actually led them to gain weight.
@autumnhandahl4659
@autumnhandahl4659 3 жыл бұрын
I use her app and have always thought the calorie recommendations seem a little high actually. Like for me to lose weight it recommends 1800-2000 calories, so I definitely do not think she is recommending things that are too low. Perhaps she just misspoke or did her math wrong.

Canadian here. I have had Swiss Chalet once in my life that I can remember. I was in my 20s, and I remember it wasn't a memorable meal. Nothing to write home about. I grew up in rural Newfoundland, so I also remember when I first had McDonald's and Tim Hortons lol mostly when traveling to St. John's. Personally, I'd much rather have something made at home or at a Café-style restaurant where most everything is freshly made and not shipped in frozen prepared lumps of food. I remember going to Pizza Delight and I requested a substitution in the seafood in a dish...apparently it all comes in prepared frozen and just heated up. There's nothing wrong with it...it's just not my preference if I'm spending so much on eating out.
