I think if I was playing this, this would be my checklist: - dawnbreaker - spellbreaker shield - flame cloak (and/or jzargo's flame cloak) - atronach stone - fire spells for ranged - dawnguard magic - dawnguard crossbow - fire storm In other words, speedrun college of winterhold and dawnguard

I didn't see it in the mods list, so if this man does decide to do a horse centric run, make sure he gets Convenient Horses or something like it. I'm pretty sure he'll need to buy the horse and not steal it for all of the features to work right, but that feels appropriate for the challenge. and as someone who grew up with horses, you aren't likely to give them word commands. we clicked to get their attention, and then squeezed them with our heels. that's why spurs used to be common, but they've fallen out of favor for what I hope are obvious reasons. you command a horse to go faster but squeezing with your heels or kicking (gently!) and slow them down by pulling back on the reigns (you might say "hoh" or "whoah" as well, but most horses are primarily "listening" to the reigns). you "steer" with the reigns and, depending on the horses training, your legs. most of the horses we had were "head" reigned, which means they were trained to move in the direction you pulled their head. animals with more advanced training like my step-sisters' show horses were "neck" reigned, meaning they were trained to go in the OPPOSITE direction of the reign when it was laid on its neck (so if you were to lay the LEFT reign along its neck, it would head "away" from that reign to the RIGHT) and the same can be taught with feet. if you decide to learn to ride, you will probably also be taught to "post", which is when you push upwards slightly with your feet in the stirrups so when the horse is trotting you aren't bouncing on your ass. unless the horse has truly had its spirit broken like, say, the Grand Canyon trail donkeys, riding is actually god leg/ass exercise. I went years without riding and took an hour or so trail ride and my ass and thighs hurt like hell for days. horses don't have seatbelts, you have to use your legs to stay on.

Just fyi incase you use the mod in the future again, the rain is a setting in the draugnarock menu. The reason why it kept raining is that the "apocalyptic weather" setting was on, which cause near constant rain and fog while the draugnarock quest is active.
