Carla is a protected NPC, meaning she can only be killed by the player. Or so I thought apparently, I suppose any damage from the player is enough for her to lose the essential tag. If your caltrops hadn’t been there, she would’ve killed the deathclaw after a while. But oh my god did she get obliterated 😭😭

I was SHOCKED. What went from excitement and joy that she was helping turned into a nightmare so fast. It's a bit grindy is sections but this stream had so many great moments

No, I don't think so. I've seen merchants killed plenty of times. Cried once when I found Cricket's corpse, no spray-n-pray for me in that run.

Just started watching your VODs, and I have never seen Carla actually die, didn't even know it was possible! Those poor cows holding vigil over her leg was the most heartbreakingly funny thing I have ever seen in this game. Amazing.

2:06:55 you probably hit the cell respawn bug, where every time you leave a cell its contents respawn. sometimes it gets as bad as enemies respawning in front of you. there's a fix for that in the buffout mod, but it also requires encounter zones to be set up, and i don't think any mod makes a global encounter zone exist for the commonwealth or far harbor.
