Wanting to tell Joov that Elemental Bolt is part of Anniversary Edition and not a mod, but I'm watching the VOD so I can't 😆

I actually kinda regret it. The Elemental spells are so incredibly powerful (especially if you count in the fact that they get damage increase from both fire and shock perks, which is straight up broken and im sure the creators did not intend it) that it makes a mage playthrough somewhat boring. You sling a variation of the same spell over the entire game, since its so powerful there is no reason to use anything else
@hoangkienvu757210 ай бұрын
@@Rumcajs981 You speak as if vanilla mage playthrough aren't just W+M1 lol. Even with all the mods this past decade, nobody has managed to make mage playthroughs as engaging and thrilling as a warrior playthrough. Magic is a great concept in turn-based strategy games, but in action games like Skyrim or Dragon Dogma, not so much.

@@Rumcajs981 fair. I have never played those, but from the videos I've seen it seems they have the same problem: fun melee combat, boring magic combat. I mean, they literally have auto-aim, how the hell is that fun?

Another thing I came across while playing your modlist - You can level up heavy or light armor skills just by using stamina while wearing the armor. This is why you will see your armor skills go up for seemingly no reason. I think this is from the perk rework mod but I am not entirely sure, might be from blade & blunt. Happy reaching!
@diogoextreme211 ай бұрын
Probaly blade and blunt, it give really a loot of utility to the stamina bar
@murfmur11 ай бұрын
It's the "Adamant - A Perk Overhaul" that changes the armor leveling, i'm uncertain about the stamina use but i know it give experience upon entering combat wearing armour.

Having chopped enough firewood in my lifetime, I totally agree with you regarding how unsatisfying the mace animation feels. The thing when you swing a heavy tool is that you primarily want to swing hard, not fast. The mace animation feels like the player character wants to be done with the swing as quickly as possible so he can throw another one ASAP, like with a whack-a-mole or a fly swatter. And as a result, it feels like the player is striking the enemy extremely gently, which doesn't feel satisfying at all. A satisfying mace swing would be accompanied with a heavy oomph upon impact, possibly with the enemy being staggered or knocked on the ground (depending on the type of swing and weapon), and a slight delay before the mace is lifted up again. Not only that, but whenever gravity is involved (like with a vertical swing), the downward swinging animation should be quicker than the lifting animation. Pushed to the next level, a swing that fails to connect should throw you off balance. But at that point we're talking about completely rebuilding the fighting system and balance from scratch. That being said, the enemies' head tilting animation whenever you strike an enemy is a bit too unsettling for my taste: it feels too real. But I guess that's the effect they were looking for.

After playing legendary survival for a long while, i learned one thing: any edible non-raw food that is not a properly cooked meal worth picking up, i eat straight away. Every single apple, cabbage, tomato or piece of bread i see goes straight into my stomach (in bulk when managing inv usually). Nothing is left behind. It does not seem like much, but if you think of the sheer volume of those that you find everywhere, on every table and in every barrel/sack.... It surprisingly does not take up much time at all, and in the end turns out that it basically makes you only have to ever eat a proper large meal after sleeping for longer, i often ended up selling cooked meat. Massively reduced the time and resources/money i had to spend to get food, and since it happens almost by itself while looting/clearing dungeons, it's double effective. Little side bonus is that you free up the Salt Piles for alchemy since you dont need to use as many for cooking

Joov talking about a "fun" magic build, and describing literally just basic mageplay, tells you how little he primarily uses magic xD As someone who plays almost exclusively mages it's so weird to see someone who's played so *much* of the game, but has so little understanding of one of the three main playstyles, def needs to do pure mage playthrough at some point
@milkdromeda7.0412 ай бұрын
Who would you suggest to watch for creative or interesting mage builds?
@Force2reckonVods2 ай бұрын
@@milkdromeda7.041 I don't watch a lot of people play games anymore, honestly Joov is the only one I watch who play's Skyrim (thus wanting him to try a full mage playthrough) You can google them p easily though and it is a viable playstyle except instead of managing stamina control you have to manage magicka and cast time. Once you learn cast time/windup and cooldown times on spells it can feel *incredible* to play many different kinds of mage builds.

Wholesome about the ASL. My stepmom is deaf and I’m so used to it. I make sure she’s looking at me when I talk to her. If I need her attention I tap her on the shoulder if she’s facing away or try to politely wave a hand to get her to notice me if she’s facing me. If I’m talking to someone else and they can’t lip read I pull out my phone and type out what I’m saying and communicate that way. I try to remember ASL alphabet but I always forget half of it since I use it so infrequently.
