Under the scales of the Victorinox Ranger Grip [MT VOD]

Test on the Victorinox Ranger Grip 71 Gardener and Ranger Grip 58 Hunter.
Compared to a Victorinox Ranger Grip Boatsman.
A 1/4" hole exists but the long bit is not held ... which does not prevent it from being used. It is therefore possible to make a hexagonal hole in the scale of a Ranger Grip to allow inserting a bit.

Excellent ! Je viens de faire un trou dans la plaquette de mon Wenger et ça fonctionne parfaitement. J’ai fait le trou au plus juste et du coup tout est parfaitement maintenu. D’autant plus que le Wenger d’origine ne possède qu’un seul gros tournevis plat.

Yep, they all have it. Like the Wengers. The difference between vic and the original is the depth. Wenger has more depth and can be used for more torque.

I imagine so. The problem is the bad behavior of the bits on the models without bit holder.

Interesting video, mate! I've got a question: I just got a ranger grip 78 myself and I like it , but I always loved the boatman's yellow scales. Do you think if I buy boatsman yellow scales will it fit the ranger grip? I checked out photos and they look identical except the torq on the bottom , but after watching this video I don't think it would be an issue?

It looks to me like the Ranger pads are similar and there should be no problem changing colors.

Perfectly fluid opening. The finely serrated blade of Victorinox is very sharp, very efficient. Obviously, the 111 mm models are heavier and bulkier...

Was thinking the exact same thing. Maybe a slim neodymium magnet in the hex hole. Doing so would make the Gardner 50% more useful and adds an awl as well.
