I once queued for a bus in Malta. I never queued again. Us Brits get a bad rep abroad because of our over exuberance on the devils brew. I guarantee tho that you won't meet a more humble, honest, compassionate soul on this planet when you bump into a true Brit.

This video feels completely out of touch. Firstly, you're generalizing all Europeans, lumping them together and comparing them to Brits - an oversimplification that doesn't hold up. As a Lithuanian living in the UK myself, I find your perspective biased and inaccurate. The comparisons lack depth, and overall, the video seems rather pointless. I'll refrain from commenting on your English, though it's surprising given your claim of living in the country for some time. In short, this video adds little value.

I'm a Lithuanian as well, lived here for 9 years since 14. Very true. When I go back home now I notice it from the English perspective, we are way more reserved than the Anglos for one, to the point the amount of times I got assumed to be autistic by my colleagues at work is insulting, only for me to then notice that "awkwardness" they spoke of back home. It was a relief to be fair, I was confident in knowing it was definitly culture acting here.

Brits are more well mannered imo. The Dutch are rude in comparison, strange how you come up with a completely contrasting opinion. Coming from a Dutch-English person who was raised being mannerrd but had to unlearn that whilst living on the mainland.

How do Europeans act? Would you mind listing the qualities, as you just seem to be making the divide over the toast at breakfast in hotels. Also, as a British person, you'll understand the importance of using 'articles' like 'a','an', and 'the' when you use nouns in your speech. Much love.

A perfect example is queuing on the tube and metro stations: In the UK there is a clear order for who enters the train. You don't push to the front without being frowned upon. Secondly everyone waits for people to step off the train and only when the last person has cleared the platform do people begin boarding. In euro metros, it's a brawl to get onto the train regardless of if you've been at the platform for 10 minutes or 10 seconds. When the doors open a lot of people pile onto the train to make sure they've covered themselves. This makes it difficult for people trying to disembark the train. This is an example that is consistent and clear throughout Europe that highlights the cultural differences between behaviour and social norms in the two regions.

No, there's also a big difference in terms of culture. Brits are fundamentally Americans in denial. Europeans are... Europeans. I'll give you an example: Brits are individualistic like Americans. We're more community-focused on the continent.

Nah, the UK mentality is very similar to the mentality of other Western European nations (I'm French-Dutch). Americans are different however. Western Europeans and Eastern Europeans are different.

What does British mean mate? It appears on his passport (if he has one) as "British Citizen" that makes him British. Maybe he means his nationality. Ethnically, he's not Scottish, Northern Irish, English or Welsh. Nationality=/=Ethnicity.

@@J_SavedbyGrace_Eph28 If he says "I am British", that's simply not correct. He is Lithuanian with a British passport. If I was born in China, does that make me Chinese? No, I would still be European with a Chinese passport.

@@lastofthemohicans4665 Citizenship gives you your nationality. Being born in China wouldn't give you citizenship, unless one of your parents is a Chinese citizen. But if you got automatic citizenship just by being born in China, yes, you would be Chinese. You'd look different from the rest of the Chinese, but still Chinese.

@@J_SavedbyGrace_Eph28If all British is is a piece of paper that anyone can get then it doesn't mean much. I appreciate people like this guy who has embraced British culture. But one can not be British and Lituanian. You can be a Lithuanian with Brotish citizenship, then maybe your kids grow up fully in the culture and they become British, but it's not a given and many second generation immigrants lean into the culture of their parents homeland rather than the place they live.

@Campingwilder Both of my grandfathers fought in the war, one died shortly after due to the trauma and ill health. My father never really got over the death of his father, this effected me and my brother growing up. Generations had to deal with the impact of continental Europeans conquests against other Europeans. And before that is was the French and Napoleon. The arrogance of them, I've spoken to continentals who claim that British aren't really Europeans, neither are eastern Europeans according to them, there's a sense of superiority that we've had to fight and crush over and over, and they think we aren't really Europeans. We upheld European values more times than they did.
