Is Statistical Quality control considers the pattern of causes produced due to Chance/Common causes??Or Only Special Causes. Means Can we apply SQC to both of these?

Thanks for your query Sandeep. Special cause is just like Tsunami which can any time and then no one knows when it will appear again. While for common causes, the organisation needs management support to minimise or avoid them.

Dear Chetram, Thanks for your query. Kin ISO 9001 and IATF 16949, there is no terminology like Special Process. It was used in the QS 9001 standard for welding, painting etc. Critical process is identified by either customer or organisation through PFMEA.
