Food Science and nutrition both are interrelated. Without knowledge of food composition, u can't make a good diet plan. So if u want to go for a nutrition background u have to know about all food science composition and their nutritive value. But in food science, it's not compulsory to know or study human nutrition diet plan and all kind of nutrition-related disease.

Both are equally good, some universities do offer BSc in Food, Nutrition and Dietetics which integrates both food science and nutrition. Pursuing it from an ICAR accredited agriculture institution will help you learn a lot.

Food Science & Nutrition part has been clearly explained in the video itself, food technology is about food processing, designing of the food plant and various equipment used in processing. Both courses are equally good, some universities do provide BSc and MSc in Food Science and Nutrition.

Nice overview, my degree is called B.S. in Nutrition and Food science with a concentration in food science. One important thing that needs to be mentioned though in regards to those interested in nutrition: it's a highly competitive field where you will most likely be competing with registered Dietitians.

Not only in andhra pradesh but all over the country universities provide food science and nutrition, food science and technology, nutrition and dietetics, etc. It depends on the university and not the state. A BSc in Food Science and Nutrition integrates both and has wider opportunities than others.

First of all, not every college provide M.Sc in food science & nutrition. CFTRI provides M.Sc in food technology. Also, because M.Sc is more theory oriented and that's why it is more justifiable to have M.Sc with food science. Food technology, however, is application based so that's why we see B.Tech and M.Tech in Food Technology because B.Tech and M.Tech deal with application aspect of science. Food Science is not necessarily better than Food Technology. It depends on where you want to go. I already have videos comparing B.Sc with B.Tech and common definitions like food science and technology. Do check them out for further clarification. Also, I can not tell you what will be good for you and what will be bad. I don't know your journey and I don't know your true motivation. Only you can decide for yourself that what is right and what's not right for you.

As per NCAHP Act, 2022 the minimum eligibility criteria to work as a nutritionist and/ dietitian is a BSc in Nutrition and Dietetics/ BSc in Food, Nutrition and Dietetics, so you are not be eligible to practice it with a BSc in Hotel Management and MSc in Food Science and Nutrition, but can work in food industries.

Its simple.dietitian is certified or registered by government to provide healthcare service whereas a nutritionist isnt.anyone with a knowledge of Nutritional science and its role in the body is refered as nutritionist. but they cant provide healthcare service to thd public as they arent certified by govt.dietitian not only studies nutritional science but also knows therapeutic diet, physiology and is legally certified to provide care to public by govt. Thus, all dietitian is a nutritionist but not all nutritionists are dietitian.

To become Dietitian, you have to pursue Clinical Nutrition and write RD exam for a secured job profile.
