Hello Arun sir, I have one question in this video. When a child window is closed, why does we need to switch to the original window. Can't it be done by itself as there is no other window open? Do I need to use switchTo().window(defaultWindow) mandatory?

No that won't work. Once you switch to another window, you need to switch again back to the original window, if you have to work on it. otherwise you will get NoSuchWindowException. You can try it once.
