Difference Between Gond & Madhubani | Indian Folk Paintings

Gond and Madhubani Paintigns are folk paintings of Madhya Pradesh and Bihar region of India respectively. When I shared painting tutorials of these two paintings on my English channel "Disha Mishra Dubey", you guys got confused between these two art forms. So in this video I have tried to clear this confusion so that you can easily differentiate Gond and Madhubani whenever you see them.

Hi! Just wanted to know what are alternative methods to make back outline. If I want to use varnish. If I make an outline with marker or pen, varnish will spill and. And I am not very good with paint brush. My outline with paint brush becomes broad.

This was quite helpful. But I'll beg to differ with reference to one point you mentioned. You said that in Gond, we see a part of one element being blended to form another element. You show the example of how tree roots can be transformed to fish in Gond. I wanted to point out that is often found in Madhubani as well. Especially the fusion of peacocks and fish. The wing of a peacock is often painted as a fish, it's a fusion like in Gond.
