Dol starter make by using contractor . It controlled by over load relay(olr).when overe current passing through load that time olr disconnect the working voltage of contactor. Ok thank you

Dear . .. DOL starter can't control starting current that's why we use it in small rating motor conditions.. normally people suggest to use DOL starter in motors up to 10 HP but if possible then use DOL in only motors up to 5 HP. For medium scale business we can use Star delta starter which can provide starting current by 60% reduced in starting.
