4 - Fasting: Attar Attar Attar!! Perfume might stimulate your appetite during fasting, just won't work.

It was just your personal opinion which might not be widely accepted 1. It's a wrong perception that the projection of attar is weaker compared to perfumes yes because of the alchohol effect I do agree that any kind of perfume or deodorants do give you that initial blast but after a few minutes it just fades away whereas the projection of the attar is more intense. 2. You never spoke on the longevity of the both attar and perfumes on any day any attar can beat the performance of any perfume as far as longevity is concerned. 3. Talking about wearing a perfume in outdoors. You will find attars performing way much better in more hot and humid climate your perfume would fade away in seconds in such conditions there are certain attars which projects more in heat. 4. The smell of attar is more natural whereas perfumed smell a lot more synthetic and the variety which you get in attar, you can never get such a wide range of variety in perfume ever. 5. The parameters based on which you have compared the two is actually amateur level, a perfume or or an attar is always compared based on performance like longevity or projection or how does the notes evolve through time. 6. Last but not the least you cant make a perfume without an attar(concentrated oil) but I understand since you like perfume only this video or comparison was a biased one.

exactly, lots of articel on the internet telling you that attar projection is really weak, but its just so wrong, i use perfume oil my whole life and still get compliment, it does project, i think using alcohol based perfume can easily choke people out, not attar

Expensive perfumes fragnances last 2 to 3 days on skin. It's very expensive, he's talking about those perfumes, even in his video it's Dolce and Gabanna, that brand is for ultra rich people. Some are so strong that in Dubai when people would leave out from the taxi their fragrance would be still there for the next passenger to enjoy the half an hour ride. I'm not talking about air freshener.

@@Mubz777 it's pretty obvious so I guess one should make a fair comparison when it comes to the price of both perfumes and attars, if you are talking about ultra niche category perfumes then there are attars which are worth lakhs like oudh and even in oudh there are lot of varities as well..... And the example that you gave about people smelling so good in middle East it is because they use bakhoor and concentrated perfume oils more compared to alcohol based perfumes and it is solely because it is something our belove Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) use to do.....

The actual ingredient of a perfume is "attar" aka concentrated perfume oil.

What I like to do is I use a perfume and mix it with attar and make it more concentrated so it makes the perfume more strong better projection and much more long lasting but after doing it you have to keep it for 2 -3 days I don't know why it becomes better than directly using it

It is not a one size fit all formula. Every human is unique, and has its own body 'doshas' (imbalances). Fragrances are mood setters and thus can work towards or against these body 'doshas'. These doshas come in 3 format mostly - kapha, pitta, and vata, which correspond to 5 basic elements of the universe. Fire, Water, Ether, Air, and Earth. If you are easily irritable, exhibit anger, or anxiety prone then you are most likely marred with 'Pitta' dosha. Are you a driven, competitive, and focused guy, who loves to conquer the world? You are a 'Pitta' type. You have natural imbalances as per your body type (more Fire), and hence you need to counter the same with 'Water' to restore the balance. The fragrances work as a tool to restore these balances. They are not one size fit all formulas. A wrong pick might induce more fire and hurt yourself in due process, unknowingly. So the short answer is - you will gravitate towards a scent which will be more calming and soothing if you are a Pitta type. Opposites attract formula, basically. Thus, wear something keeping you and your body type in the focus first, not others. In this regard, Attar almost always wins. A) Its all natural oils, no synthetics, B) eco-friendly, and C) its for you, not others. So for indoors - your default choice should be Attar. Not only that - the kind of smell should be also driven by your body doshas for maximum comfort and impact. It will make you feel better and healed. Aren't you more important that the other person whom you are trying to impress? If you let go this notion of 'trying to impress others' then perfume business will almost die. It is their core driver. If you keep these natural formula in mind then perfume will always be your occasional and 2nd best choice.

Heeey, you have damn good presentation skills 👍 Maybe I'm a bit subjective, but no, no, no to attir/oil perfume, like you said it's very overwhelming and stays all day in your nose. At home I normally don't wear a perfume, I guess smell like fresh fabric softener))) Coz you know, we females are normally doing skin care routine n etc... 😊 Take care dear!!!

Hello Sana's Husband's brother... really liked the video...I was waiting for this as I am coming to Kerala from Saudi Arabia soon . I bought a perfume from Asgharali. Have to buy few more to gift people. We malayalees rank perfumes / athars by asking ' how much time would it last " and we would like to hear people ask " wow...u are using some perfume?" So I think in that case concentrated oil scores better. I have attar and oil at office so that I can use them before meeting people. Also as u are aware Arabs etc have perfumes in their cars...That's one reason they smell good when we see them at shopping malls etc

no wonder I can smell my next door neighbour attar, until I can't breathe. Sounds like people spray it directly on the body multiple times. I wish someone teaches people how to wear any kind of scent. You are suppose to spray 1x in the air, and walk into the air. I take it all back, me bad, you really should rub it like body lotion. I didn't know the main use was to make people lose appetite during fasting. For people around them, that are not fasting, just wear a P100 mask.

That's not true. Spraying it into the air and walking into it has no lasting effects.

@@hmok1083 I originally thought Attar was to cover up the ketones smell during fasting. I didn't realise the main use of attar is to lose appetite during fasting (not to mention tolerance build up) then is very true, you need something very powerful, a perfume won't do at all. It might even stimulate appetite. I should just buy a P100 mask before the next wave, by 3pm the smell from my neighbour's flat is so strong that I feel I'm drinking Attar from the air (and I'm not even in the same flat, can't imagine staying in that flat), must be so hungry.

Hereby I decided to choose perfume But sad when in asked shop attendant he said me sure that attar will project more , So i spent my money just for attars If i saw this early
