Void contract: is a contract which ceases to be enforceable by law. They are valid in the beginning but later on, these become void due to unforeseen and uncontrollable circumstances. If they are void from the very beginning, then they contradict the very definition of a contract and so cannot be a contract at all.

Betting on horse races is legal, so giving this example in expressly void contract would be inappropriate. An appropriate example could be the rainfall at a certain time; it will be a contract by wager and will be void. Same example can also fit in contingent contracts if one has to do a certain act after the rainfall, if it happens.

Ayushi the example which you gave for voidable contract, is it correct? When A said to B that he will give him Rs.1000 for his bicycle and B is a minor, then as per section 2G it is already a void agreement because of lack of contractual capacity. How can it be voidable when it is void in first place?
