Verification is always a better option than validation.

If you have anyone known in verification domain in your own company then you can approach them. Tell them you want to be part of their project and if they allow you are ready to give your time. This is the only way. Other ways are leaving job, then do training and then join any company which i will never recommend. So try to make connections in your own company if verification projects are done there.

Emulation is developing a hardware and software to check the functionality of real design before design is fabricated which is nothing but FPGA emulation to speed up the verification process. It's a higher level design and honestly speaking very few product based company do this. You get lot of idea about hardware and software thus system knowledge. One can learn a lot but not not much in india( to my knowledge). You can always switch to verification after having this job profile. Thanks
