I'm making a DIY fluid damping system for my tonearm and was reading that the silicon oil generally recommended is between 30,000 - 100,000 cSt silicon oil. Needed to see it to understand what I am going to need for my turntable. Thanks for the video!

@@Ozma2 I am using 80W Hypoid Gear Oil and it is working very well. Still haven't managed to track down silicon oil!

Kinetic sand... here I come! I am thinking that 100,000 is going to be the right viscosity for perfect kinetic sand. If it is too thick I can thin it with some 500 cSt dimethicone that I have. that should work to thin it down right?
