Differences and similarities between the water utilities in HSY and Bahir Dar

In 2022, HSY received funding from the EU for a three-year partnership project in water services. The EU WOP (Water Operators’ Partnership) programme aims to help water and sanitation service providers in developing countries. The programme is managed and the water utilities are supported by the Global Water Operators’ Partnerships Alliance (GWOPA), a network under the UN-Habitat. A specialist in the ongoing EU WOP project, interviewed the director of the Bahir Dar Water Utility about the differences and similarities between our water utilities in Finland and Bahir Dar, Etiopia.
