​@@isabelgranados296If you've ever cleaned up after the public or after groups, there's probably a whole list of things you'd never do when out and about: I never ever put liquids in the garbage, or put my own garbage in an overflowing can, or leave little toilet paper shreds on the bathroom floor, or throw out fast food garbage without first making it as compact as possible. . .and I love hearing equivalent things from other kinds of service jobs or volunteer positions!

Laura, I laughed so hard😂 at every one. The Mass we attend has lots of families, including the Dad & Mom who has 3 adult children. The Dad still does the piercing silent stare down to get his adult kids to kneel upon getting seated! The tall son defies him and then the Dad snaps his fingers and points!!! I die laughing every Sunday, because it is the same ritual week after week 😂!!!

I laughed at every single one of these because they are so SPOT ON! My husband and I have 9 kids, so I've been the late mom, the outside mom, the secret discipline mom, etc. When you did the overly affectionate couple, I doubled over because I happened to be at Mass by myself and saw one of these couples and it was SO distracting!

I witnessed my oldest brother test my dad at mass. After being told twice to be quiet, he didn't listen. The third time my dad grabbed my brother by his ear, in front of everyone, took him to the atrium with my brother saying repeatedly "I am sorry dad I am sorry I wont do it again." Lord knows what happened in that atrium but safe to say we all behaved well after that😂

There’s an infamous story in my family about three year old me testing my dad during mass until he finally took me out and he had to take the walk of shame all the way from the front pew with me screaming “I be good daddy, I be good daddy, I be goooooood!” while grabbing his face 🤣 And everyone laughed the whole trip back to the foyer. I’m 29 and my parents still tell this story lol 😂 It must have been traumatic for my dad hahahaha

I was a nightmare in mass as a kid. One time my parents told me that if I didn’t behave we’d stay and go to the next mass because I needed more practice. I thought I was calling their bluff and there was no other mass. But of course there was, and sure enough my money went home with my sisters and me and my dad stayed for the second mass. I was much better behaved the second go around.

This time of mass with little ones shall pass (and I’ll probably miss it!).

At the 2:15 mark, content warning next time, Laura! 🤣🤣 for shame on such PDA! 😉 Don’t have the pleasure of being a Mass mom yet, but as a Mass bystander it is kinda cute to see the different families and kids. One group at mass yesterday had cousins altar serving, and the little girl was watching them all the way during the entrance and exit. Even turned her little brother around a few times so he could see them during service and wave at them during Sign of Peace 🥰 Just had to tell the mom how sweet it was afterwards cause it was! My brother goes to mass with some second cousins and their friend group, who all have babies right now. Apparently, it’s pretty common if one or both of the parents have to do something during mass, they’ll push the kid in someone’s open arms and the receiver just accepts it 😂😂 My brother has already done it with his godson quite a number of times at this point.

My mom was strict about being proper in church during Mass. ❤ Always told us to use the restroom before Mass started. I still do that in my adulthood.😆 I've noticed children love being up front to see the Mass.😊 Mother's s need to explain to there children during Mass what is happening. Children love to learn. I think that would control all the screaming and snacking during Mass.❤ This is what I would do for my children.❤😊

You should do a Dad's one. I once saw a little kid (about 7 or 8 yrs old) at Mass misbehaving. His Dad took him for a walk to the back of the Church. We heard a bit of complaining mixed with some sobbing from the kid. His Dad must have told him something. Kid returned to his pew and behaved well for the rest of the Mass. I have also seen my brother controlling his kids when they were little just with a very firm look, no words. I am sure other Dads have had the same experience. Great channel! Greetings from Canada!

Omigosh, you nailed it. We've started sitting far enough forward to at least not SEE the show in the pew. And the children are too old to be behaving like this. My youngest brother was a Down Syndrome kid and he was quiet as a churchmouse at Mass from the time he could kneel. Well, he did fart a couple times but not that you knew who did it. (I try so hard not to judge parents who do. This is hilarious, but I have nothing but respect for any parents at mass. Christ said Let the children come to me. I know there are many who will judge parents with noisy children or give them the side eye, but there’s nothing more beautiful than kids at mass. I would so much rather listen to a homily through the sounds of crying babies than have parents stay home. Plus I hope one day I’ll have some noisy babies if my own at mass.

Ok- I’m going to speak up for the late and non regular Mass goers- people who sit on the end of the pew (as if they are the only seats in the house) DESERVE to have butts in their face and will get extra time in purgatory. Slide to the middle. We know it’s the only mission/ evangelization work you’ll ever do this year Jennifer! Also- you being able to slide out quick is not goi g to make the homily shorter or the choir on key.

My family of 4 usually sits on the left of the pews on the right hand side of the altar (Mum prefers getting the host from the priest). While we are on one end of the pew, the right hand side is there for later comers. I try not to make it hard for people to move past if they want though, in case they are trying to go for the middle.

I always chose the aisle side xlosest to a wall so I could quietly take a baby or toddler to the bathroom. It becomes habit after years. Of course, mow our family does take up an entire pew. We sit where we can.
