Boundary conditions (BC) are expressions to boundary grids/points. In the case of Dirichlet BC, it is clear which gives an equation for boundary grids but for others, how we get the expressions/equations? You have given the BC in the derivative form, not as an expression for the unknown at boundary points.

All of these conditions are equations involving unknown function. Some are defined on the unknown function, some are defined on the derivative of a function and some are linear combination of unkown function and its derivative at some boundary point.

@@mathematicslectures1435 can you explain (with an example) how to derive the equation for the unknown (dependent) variable at the boundary grid using Neuman BC?

Thanks for this, I have a question though : Is the ghost point method used to implement a particular boundary among the one you mentionned or does it works for all of them?

Vector

But what is its significance there? Is it a vector that lies on the boundary?

Why would we want an Indian to read ppts for us?

Its not compulsory for anyone to watch it. It took hours for me to make this ppts. Regards
