Trunks and Briefs are the best imo, but you'll get varying opinions. Boxer briefs are probably the most worn. Best underwear at higher prices: hands down BN3TH (Aswemove is also good), doesn't get better than them. I wasn't huge on briefs until I tried the ones BN3TH makes. For cheaper pairs: Hanes are sufficient.

What’s the point of a jock strap? Specifically the open back, like for real, if you had a bad fart, or hadn’t wiped properly (hopefully everyone does) surely it’d transfer to your trousers/shorts. Thong/gstring are insanely comfortable. Any guy who says nah/it’s gay whatever, it’s a little odd at first, but then, you don’t even feel it. Mega comfy and I don’t care.
