And now a comment in favor of the roof repair solicitor. One Sunday early evening a few years ago this guy shows up at our front door and says he’s in the neighborhood to evaluate roofs that may have been damaged in a recent hail storm. I remembered that hailstorm, but never thought, it would’ve been serious enough to cause any real damage. The roofing guy asked if he could get on our roof and evaluate it. I said sure go ahead. He took some digital photographs and showed all these mini impact craters on some shingles where all the granular material had been Knocked off. A claim was made through our homeowners insurance. Insurance company didn’t bat an eye never even came out to look at the roof. Bottom line we got a new roof, new downspouts, new leaf guard over the gutters, new paint job on the deck as these were all damaged. All told it was about $17,000. So who knows, maybe your home sustained storm damage you don’t even know about. I do like the video by the way.

That's so mean, though. They're actually usually lower income folks trying to survive predatory sales teams. Just firmly say you're going to be a waste of their time, but wish them the best and ask for a card. Keeping their card is a way for them to feel they got a lead even if they didn't make a sale. I always get solicitors to go away happy and quickly and I don't buy s hit.
