Before Brut force superposition,I used to think that Differential amplifiers are always symmetrical.

I have a little doubt. For small signal picture the current source should be open circuit as we took the current source Io to be ideal. But then suddenly we considered 2Rout for small signal model. Why?? What if in some question ideal current source is given. What will we do then?? Leave the source terminal hanging in air?? Or can we place a capacitor parallel to the current source???
