Nice and to the point. For a top job you could add... wire brush fill and drain plug areas first; re-insert fill plug, not tight, before opening drain plug - stops fluid gushing; flush diff with some of the new oil - wastes some, but clears out last of the old oil. Brake Clean will clean off the diff when finished.

@@mohammedbenz9361 you say do not change old differenttial oil if we have high milage car. ıs it true?
@mohammedbenz93615 жыл бұрын
No, what im saying is if you ever change the fluid, dont try to flush it or if you ever happen to take off the diff cover don’t wipe off the old oil or try to clean it with brake clean I think if you ever want to change the fluid in a high milage car only use full-synthetic but i would recommend avoiding it as long as you could I have a 2002 crown vic and change the diff fluid with conventional oil 90w-140 and that caused a humming noise but it got me 3 years no problem

Once you said " Hey Guys " I was thinking it's Chrisfix! :D ... Good job bro, I have the same w203 and this service is really important, some people won't do it because it sounds like a big deal, but in reality, it's a piece of cake.

Jo buddy. TX for showing. One idea more, to fill up the oil on a place like that I used a 200ml siringa with a small plastic tube. You will be able to fill without a mess or loss. .

Thanks, I do chage both diff and gear box oil. My car is w204 c180k at 160600km. Old oil looks dark coffee color and new oil looks honey color. I found metal on cap only in gearbox cap. Which is very negligible. Thank you for you guided vedio. Cheers

Thanks a lot for the video. I assume that the gear box oil is replaced in a similar way. So I would like to ask what kind of oil would you recommend to be used for the 6 speed manual gear box of W203 CDI? 75W80 would be OK?
@doit_vehicles4 жыл бұрын
yes , you will need something like 75w 80 or 75w gl-4 . It's quite rare to find a manual MB these days ✌ sorry for late reply

I bought the oil from a very popular onlineshop in Europe where you can put the details of your car and get the part/product for that specific vehicle . They recommended this viscosity... If you have a look also online there are meny opinions regarding the viscosity on the MB differential: like 80w90 85w90 75w80. So at the end of the day you can make the final decision .
