Yeees Pixy Glad you enjoyed their comeback. These girls have absolutely skyrocket into my top K-pop groups and are right up there with Dreamcatcher. You absolutely cannot compare them to DC as you already told. Yes, they‘re both from a small label and have dark vibe, but their sounds are totally different. Hopefully you will watch more Pixy content in the future after your hiatus / btw: Hope you‘ll get better soon! If you love Villian, you definitely need to watch their Bewitched MV!

man, I've listened to this song so many times already and I still find new little things production-wise that make it out. When a group upgrades their sound without much success, you get the latest nature and weeekly comebacks, but when it works, you get g-idle and pixy.

5:30 - SOMEONE FINALLY SAID IT! PIXY IS PIXY! I get that because they have a dark concept they get compared to another very talented group but the music and storyline are so very different. To me Pixy is their own genre. This comeback is doing well but they are still criminally underrated. Looking forward to their trip here to the U.S.!

I think the reason that they get compared is mainly because their fandoms overlap, if you like kpop with a darker edge like DC then there was a good chance you'd find Pixy intriguing. In a sea of girl crush and cute groups, it's not all that often that a group debuts with and sticks to dark concept so I think Winxy (I am guilty too) sometimes get a bit over excited trying to spread the love to fellow DC fans. We want to see smaller dark concept groups thrive. They are definitely their own unique groups musically though, Pixy don't do rock (aside from Swan Song) the similarity is really just dark concept and small talented companies that need support!

I want to explain their concept and the storyline (for new WINXYS that don't know it yet) There were 6 fairys without wings. The fairy's made fun of them because they don't have wings but the girls kept their cool and formed a friendship with the blue butterflys. One day,one of them went to get something for making hairpins and then she found a piece of a broken wing and sense then she had bad dreams at night about a witch that said to give her the piece of the wing before the red moon rises or else she will curse her and everyone around her and if she gives the wing on time,then she will give her wings. In the morning,she told the others about it and they started going on the adventure. (I won't give any more spoilers and if I've mistaken something or missed something important then you can comment)

JiU once compared Dreamcatcher to a set of stairs, each step forward was also a step up. Pixy is very much like that. Each comeback is a step up from the previous comeback and, as you mentioned, Pixy got a full upgrade this time. As you noticed, they were reborn. I can see where you're coming from when you talk about people comparing one group to another, but in a lot of cases it's really not a bad thing. When you see / hear people compare Pixy to Dreamcatcher, which is pretty much unavoidable, most aren't suggesting that they are the same, with the same sound etc. Most are referring to their dark concept, the level of talent and the "OMG! What did I just hear? / That was amazing!!" reaction Pixy invokes. I've literally told people that Pixy is the 4th gen's version of Dreamcatcher. Not because they sound alike or that they're some kind of clone or anything but so many other reasons. Obviously the talent is there in Pixy, just like it is in Dreamcatcher. Pixy also has a dark concept. Both groups came out of nowhere from very small, relatively unknown companies. They are woefully over looked abd under appreciated, just like DC was when they first started. The list goes on and on. When I first discovered Pixy it hit me very much like DC hit me when I first discovered them. I get a lot of the same vibes from Pixy that I got from Dreamcatcher, just in a 4th gen version. To be clear, Dreamcatcher is my #1 group so when I 'compare' Pixy to Dreamcatcher I mean it as the utmost compliment. I also think the members of Pixy would consider it a compliment because most, if not all of them are big Dreamcatcher fans. I get it. Pixy is their own group and they are doing their own thing (very well I might add), but there are still a lot of similarities to their predecessors. Okay, now that I've wasted everyone's time rambling on about stuff no one wants to hear, I'd like to make one suggestion. You really, REALLY need to check out Pixy's Bewitched video.

'Villain' is not even the best song in the EP. *'NATURAL' IS.* PS: You should react to 'Bewitched', their previous B-Side which this reborn concept is based on. At that time the 'missing' member, Ella (who used to be in Cherry Bullet) was still with them.

OH MY GOODNESS YES YES!!!! Sorry that I am late but that's okay, dude my reaction was pretty much like both of yours except I kept rewinding it and pausing it! This whole MV was so weird but so good (and also pretty gory) the only problem that I had was that it was too short and Ella was not there sadly (I hope she gets better) but I just want to say Lola killed me right when she got on the screen HOLY COW even though she didn't have too many lines she killed it and the Visuals are INSANE, Satbyeol was just WOW the Rapping was Amazing I am still shocked that her face looks like that but her voice is so deep (kind of like Yuqi) again just Wow, Dia WENT OFF holy cow when she came on singing "She's calling me" my jaw (again) literally dropped she looked so Stunning and her vocals were just Gorgeous, Sua this might have been her era because WOW her vocals were just STUNNING same with her Visuals and she got more lines/screen time again Wow, Dajeong WENT CRAZY on the Vocals (Also her with dark hair is everything) like on the whole album she just went CRAZY and the Visuals again STUNNING! I have to disagree about them upgrading from their past songs. I don’t think you guys have checked out Bewitched or any of their bsides. Bewitched is an absolute masterpiece in my opinion, Villain doesn’t reach that level. But I’m glad you liked this one. Pixy continues to deliver.

Lmao it's the assumption that because we don't post something it means we haven't listened. We have and Bewitched is a great song. Production A1 and it has nice vocal elements but Villain??? Whew, the harmonies, the rapping, the tonesss. It just come together so beautifully. In our ears yes, Villain is most definitely an upgrade.

@@DifferentlyAlike Nothing wrong with liking Villain more, taste is subjective. I guess Bewitched is elite in the Winxy fandom, it was the first departure into the smooth dark pop sound they did and it got promoted around Halloween time as well which was perfect. When I first listened to it I thought it was decent, but after repeating it some times it truly took hold and is personally my favourite kpop song period. The first verse in particular paints a certain dark and sultry atmosphere that I have not heard before and fell in love. The girls themselves liked it so much it became a dual release with Addicted and was promoted slightly. I think for many Winxy's this is the golden goose song and it definitely influenced the type of sound on the Reborn album. Pixy are evolving and it's so nice to see you both appreciating them more so after Villain!

I can't say that they've upgraded... Cause I believe they were this good since the beginning... They nail everything. But GOD I MISS ELLA (SHE'S MY BIAS) AND I SWEAR TO GOD, her absence resonates so much. Like... The album clearly lacked her voice. They still did so great. And man, they truly deliver...every time (so far). I'm just waiting for Ella to comeback and blow everyone away. Also... Villain is the 2nd best song in the album (or it might be tied), SWAN SONG, imo, is the best one. They have so many MASTERPIECES though, they just keep piling up lol.
