All the girls participated in their solos! Karina wrote the lyrics to Up entirely by herself, Ningning participated in the lyrics and Giselle and Winter both took part in composition and lyrics for their songs! For spark specifically, Winter worked really hard thinking about the performance (she also has a vlog of her practice session) and she came up with the idea of the silhouette shot because she wanted to have the Mys and their lightsticks behind her and it kinda unintentionally became a fan song for her 🥹 (Would suggest finding the Tokyo dome performances, whether as a reaction or just on your own, because they change some things)

I never realized how insane Winter's growth was until i watched her fancam. I still remember in 2020-2022 when her stage presence was kind of mediocre, but ever since Girls era, she's been improving so much. Honestly the same applies to Giselle, except her dancing and confidence has also improved. Ningning has always been the #1 performer imo, but her dancing has also improved a ton. Karina also improved, but i feel like she was always so well rounded that it's hard to notice her gradual improvement when it comes to her presence on stage, but if you really watch her old vs new performances, you can really see her improvement

I honestly don't think they planned on releasing the solo songs officially but because Karina's solo went viral, they chose to release not just hers, but all of the solos. That's probably why they didn't put much effort into promoting it. That and also likely because then it would become somewhat of a solo debut for the members and they probably want each member to have a more elaborate debut.

The girls had full control over their solos this tour. In Hyperline (their first tour) the company picked the solos and assigned them to the girls, but the girls had full creative control this time around. They were all also very involved with all the aspects of their stage and even sometimes helped each other out. The girls all put their heart and soul into each of their stages and had a vision. This really made me excited to see what each member does on her own, and want to see them have more control in group music

I just wanna say. I went back watching this because I missed the part of saying that Winter is a very introverted person and Spark is actually made as a fan song or a dedication to MY which is aespa's fandom. She was so shy when she was a kid and her parents was shocked on how she was able to perform 100% in front of many people and Winter said that its because of her fans. Spark came up to her due to MY's lightstick that lights up when its dark and the fandom gives her the feeling of opening up herself fully when performing. I am a Winter bias as I said before and I am truly proud of her knowing what she has gone through with her lung surgery and she chose to not rest and keep pushing herself to give her fans everything she can. I can def feel why Esosa cried and got emotional bec this song speaks on a diff level. Thank you Esosa for appreciating Spark.
