In my case I straight away went for hit and trial and it worked 🙃 Just assumed 3x to be greater than 12, say, 3(5) then, x=5 and y=3... Then I put the value in the 8^x/2^y... Which gives 2^(3x-y)= 2^(12).

For multiple choice questions, brute force analysis does work. I just said if 3x-y=12, then 2^(3x-y)=2^12=8^x/2^y 😭😭

Just take a value of Y and for it find the value of X. Input those values into the other expression and you’ll have your answer.

You kinda don't even need to solve it really I guessed 2^12 straight away cuz of the fact that if u make 8^x, 2^3x, then only 2s will be involved. But then again solving it could be best to eliminate D from the question 😂😂

2^12=4^6=8^4 4^4=2^8 8^2=2^6

2^3x is wrong. It needs to be 2^(3x), because of the Order of Operations.
