I recall working for all my bikes to ride flatland and street. I became a Florida State champion though I was only sponcered by MCS , back then MCS did not pay for much but bikes and local and state competition. The MCS team was picked up by GT but I could not go as I had to focus on college. MCS still has a race team but not freestyle as they stopped making freestyle bikes. But he for sure should get a local bike shop sponcership as that is how most of us started out then offers will get bigger. He for sure deserves a sponcership. That is my advise to him. Once on a local team, enter a few major competition placing and send the results and videos to the major companies. He deserves it, no question about it!
