That first couple just proves you don't know what you don't know. Even I would have expected that truck to have no problem at all going up the trail they were on, and instead they ended up having two separate problems. Good for them getting out and being adventurous anyway! Seemed like a nice couple who were very grateful for the help.

@@ADBBuild Indeed! I had a flat in the AZ desert a couple years ago and discovered the donut spare was flat. However, I always carry a portable air compressor. That saved my butt that day.

Agreed. That first couple was like a ray of sunshine. And the guy was even moving his own tire!! Most customers just have Tom or Matt or whatever guy is doing it, do that. But he even said “you can just put it there, I can put it in the truck”

Good morning this was a fun video I was really impressed with DigDug it only took two pulls to get that truck out. I love the family environment and having an opportunity to include Tom's lovely wife and son was a nice surprise.

Tom, for the Dodge scissor jack you can use a 24 mm or 15/16" socket on your impact to save time and energy...the socket will replace the rod and not damage the jack

Pro tip Tom Tom/crew. On those pumps that play ads, one of the buttons on the sides of the screen is a mute button just without a label. I think normally right side 2nd from top but it depends on the station. I normally hit all of em and till it works but it makes the pumping experience much less annoying.

I'm always amazed when you are out on the job in the desert and you have taking nuts off with some vice grips. I can't imagine going out there without a socket set and some tools.

Lol right? All the basic tools you need for most simple items would fit into a large toiletry bag. I always keep that stuff in the vehicle.

@@JimYeats You can buy a whole set of basic wrenches and sockets for under $100 in a sturdy plastic case. Buy one for each vehicle and never take it out. The first one that takes one of them out of the vehicle and doesn't return it gets shot in the foot.

that overhead shot of digdug pulling that truck really showed the kinetic energy of the rope continuing to pull the dodge even though digdug was barely moving. very cool!!

That is exactly why I didn't get side steps on my Ram. I do utility work and have to pull into ditches, over curbs, etc and I didn't want to risk catching steps on something. Luckily, I'm tall enough that it's not really a step up to get into the truck and I don't miss having steps.

Even if put in a setting of stressed out customers, Tom has this come easy, as does Matt, when camera's are rolling. It seems like they have easy going, take it as it comes personalities along with being a good old fashioned nice guy. Either way it makes for comfortable, easy to watch videos. Great job guy's! I’m amazed that ppl take factory stock 4WD trucks off road in such remote, unforgiving, terrain and hot weather. No tools, street tires, and I wonder if they had food and water for emergencies.

Sons should always be instructed on Off Roading Techniques from Learner's Permit to Driver's License. That's how I learned from years of my dad going where no vehicle has gone before, and then having me drive in 4WD and then eventually the pavement. Even with all that experience behind me i still got stuck on many occasions gambling I could make it. Lots of fun.

It looked like that second Dodge (what was it, Dodge day on the channel?) was heavy (diesel) and well-planted. The amount of pull you can generate with those ropes is amazing.

I drive a Ram 4wd, they sell these trucks with street tires. One of the first things I did was put AT's on mine and now I have moved on to MT's. Just because it's a 4wd doesn't mean that the rubber is capable of rough terrain.

Matt, you have a really great crew now, with good camera presence (Lizzy was great, too). They're looking at the camera when they should be, but not trying to always get noticed by the camera when they shouldn't. I look forward to your new videos coming out - even when you're away.

When my daughter was learning to Drive, we had a jeep Cherokee. The first thing we did was go into the local parking lot and drive over all the tire bump stops just to get the feel of things.❤

Good to be wheeling with family. BTW try to not make it a habit for Bridger to have the shoulder harness of the seat belt under his arm. In a collision that will break ribs and possibly puncture a lung. Cheers. Keep on Truckin!

PSA: your spare is a part of your pretrip safety checks! Your vehicle may have sensors for the other 4, but you should still check pressure in the spare at fairly regular intervals, because they can and will seep air, leaving you stranded when you finally need them.

That's why as a tech, I'm always checking peoples spare tires when they bring their vehicles in for service. I know for a fact most people dont even think a their spare until it's time to put one on

Hayden shouldnt feel bad at all about shredding some tires. We all have done it living in the desert west. Once you do it that is when you determine if you will be exploring enough to get 10ply tires or not 😊
