You know I find it frustratingly funny that the droid is telling him what to do and he isn't paying attention.

Yeah, I wish there was a way to turn it off permanently. I haven't really needed the "help" the droid is offering for quite some time.

So I just learned that if you are looking at A-Bot, you can press "R" and it will scroll through all the queued tasks it's mad that you're not paying attention to. Hope that helps Glidercat.

for planetoids/planets: you can use the dirt/stone to flatten the terrain (so you don't need to spend foundations)

That's a good tip. I'll have to figure out how to use dirt for fill. I actually don't mind using floor tiles since they recycle pretty easy, but dirt/stone would be a nice option.

@@Glidercat when you point your cursor at the planetoid, there is a small info box on the right hand side. Right Click = Fill Dirt

Do be aware that currently (may change given that the game is in early access) your recycle bin has infinite storage. Technically I assume there is a mathematical limit but relative to gameplay you can think of it as infinite. Whenever you delete something it is held there. When you place an item that you have one or more copies of in your recycle bin the resources come from there, not your global inventory. You only need to recycle something when you want its core resources back for some reason.

That's great information, thanks! 😺 I actually like the idea of having to run the scrapped materials through a recycling process. You get all (or most) of your resources back, but they make you work for it a little. 😺

Im wondering what needs all the excess resources need from planets ? does research need insane amounts?

I'm not sure yet. I think we're going to find out as we play on. I'm working on a basic factory design that we can scale up as needed.

@@Glidercat yeah I'm already a bit worried about depth , then again few games get close to Factorio, especially with mods ... maybe it's too much to ask

@@rphilipsgeekery4589 The first version of Factorio I played (which was a very long time ago), would probably have a very hard time competing with other automation games today. It's obviously come a huge distance since then and next to Minecraft, might have the richest collection of mods out there. But it took a lot of time to get where it is now. Captain of Industry has loads of depth, even though it's very, very new. But, it also has 7 years of development behind it. They put a ton of work into that game before making it available to the public. I can't speak to how much depth Astro Colony has since I'm still in the process of discovering that. 😺 On the surface, it feels like Astro Colony is about where Foundry is and maybe a bit further along than JUNKPUNK. It obviously has a ton of potential and already shows a lot of polish. So far, it's reached a peak of 1,751 concurrent players on Steam which is a major accomplishment for an early game in this genre.

@@Glidercat yup it's a good game probably one of the better new Factory games in fact , I played it for a whole evening, that doesn't happen to me unless it's way above OK , I'm not running a KZbin channel :).., as for development I can only judge what I see , since I have no idea , how the game will develope, some thrive others fizzle out

@@Glidercat i found captain industry a bit dry , yes it certainly has depth , but lacks the fizz of a sci-fi game

If ypu just pick up and dont recylce you can put them back down whole elsewhere
