At 3:24, I thought John was literally going to start naming off EVERY Beatles song written up to that point!
@starwart20002 жыл бұрын
Apparently it’s just the songs they wrote in the “Get Back” sessions up to that point. There’s a scene in the new documentary featuring this recording.

I love this version. Where did you get this amazing version from? Is it from the 15 minutes jam version?
@golem7783 жыл бұрын
This is from the bootleg AB road, although better sources have since become available. The jam you're referring to happens on January 26th, its the one on the let it be album, but is most ruined by Linda's daughter screaming through the mic throughout most of it

@@golem778 Oh it wasn't Yoko! I love this song. I feel sad that the Beatles didn't released the longer version. Thanks for replying.

@@golem778 Heather is a great Beatle. We are unworthy!!!!

@@golem778 an 8.5 minute section of that jam with Heather mixed out was made by Glyn Johns and can be found on bootlegs. The 8 minute mix was shortened further for the Get Back album and then as we all know it went on to be truncated even further by Spector before finally seeing release in 1970.

What beef did John have with Doris Day?
@michaelfishman39762 жыл бұрын
None. He just liked the name Doris. See, for example, the snippet before Two of Us. “…phase one, in which Doris gets her oats.”
@wboyle97215 ай бұрын
Doris day was popular in British households her records were played a lot in the 1950s

What the heck happened at 5:05?
@golem778 Жыл бұрын
the get back sessions were recorded on two nagra reels, an a and b camera, these often had to be switched out and its likely thats what happened here, having to use the other source to fill in for those few seconds sadly this part is also shown in the Get Back doc, still having the dropout, meaning this song doesn't exist on 8-track tape, and that there isn't any better source for that part, admittedly it did sound better in the doc, but its still pretty noticeable.
