Thanks for all the responses - I've watched many Jim Carrey interviews and IMO this is a masterpiece. Jim at his peak popularity. I happened to have it on VHS from back in the day, and discovering that it was not available anywhere, decided it was my duty to give it to the world. Glad you could all enjoy!

Jim Carrey is really an incredible performer/actor. He became a superstar with his comic persona and physical comedy, made millions, and could've stuck with that the rest of his career, but instead kept pushing himself and is equally talented in more dramatic roles, even starring in great films like 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind' and 'The Truman Show'. And even then, he's never lost touch with his comedy and is funnier than he ever has been. Like Robin Williams, he can improvise like a true genius. He deserves a lot of respect.

2023 still a huge inspiration to me. If you know his full story. He went from homeless as a child to doing much better for himself. He proved to the world that he could take on ANY role funny or more serious. Plus he's super passionate and enthusiastic about every role he ever played. He can literally morph into ANY character.
@palestar82810 ай бұрын
@@jadenwaz9585 well yeah.... He started appearing in more darker, serious films and his audience started judging him harshly for that, expecting him to be the funny man 24/7 as if he was some kind of preforming puppet. He lost a lot of respect from people because he took on darker roles and apparently, people didn't like or agree with that direction, but it's not their choice. That would be depressing after a few years of feeling like you're never good enough. The point should have been the fact that he could do ANY job-funny, serious, dark and he took on any role with perfection, but that wasn't good enough for people. So he became spiritual. He found himself and people STILL aren't happy with him proving that they only liked him when he was acting a certain way. That would be depressing for ANY person. It doesn't matter because true fans respect him any way that he is

His humor doesn't really translate well to today's taste, and there really isn't anyone these days who could even hold a candle to the success Carey had in the mid 90s. The part where they talk about the moon landing being farce totally made me appreciate his selection for andy kaufmans story even more. Man on the Moon- Movie. Jim was much like Andy
@TheLarryBrown Жыл бұрын
Jim is head and shoulders above Andy. Andy was only funny as "The Foreign Man" and Elvis. Everything else he did was a waste. His wrestling appearances may have been ok but he ruined it by playing them as real rather than as comedy.

You know someone has an amazing presence when they take over an interview almost completely. The only other person I can think of besides Jim Carrey who's done that is Conan O'brien in the Google Talks interview. Two very funny people :D

Robert Ramsey He does it all, facial expressions, physical comedy, standup (in his early days) regular impressions. Check out some of his Clint Eastwood impressions, that's my fav. It is one thing to do the voice, but the stare is just so spot on. He actually does James Dean as well. You remember him doing a Jim Morrison during the MTV awards? EPIC!
