Had a temporary book before i tested out for about a year and before i got into the union and before that about 3 years working for non union outfits. Sadly there are people in the union that do not share the passion and dont push themselves to be the best because they get the mentality that they can slide by because they are protected by the union if you enjoy your benefit and pay scale id suggest learning everything every piece get all tupes of certifications and your cdl and cco. Its all free through the union and its there for you. Your paying in dues for those privileges so take advantage and make yourself worth more with as many certs and skills as possible and pay the retirement by working for the guys that came before and retired. Dont be average always try to outdo yourself and keep learning. Remember by the time you master every piece of iron its time to retire. Good luck brother.

I wonder what beavers think about this? They are the real experts! I make beaver like wet spots. I just pile brush up at the lowest spots where water gets channeled by my hillside. I cover the brush with leaves, manure, sods and stones when I need a place to dump that kind of thing. Kind of like a dry land dam. I have been doing it here for 10 years and it really is keeping the water up on my hillside a whole lot longer after winter. I have no propper swimming ponds and only some standing water in spring but the soil here on my hillside is far more moist and fertile then it used to be! I learned from watching what beavers do. It also helps me know how to drain the land easily if I need to like on my driveway, just make a little creek off to the side to let the water out

Cutting hard virgin soil up hill is hard on the machine and not time efficient. Cut hard soil down to the bottom to a berm or pile. Then push the fluffed soil up the hill to build the Levi package it as you go. Cutting soil down hill uses the weight of the dozer enabling cutting more soil per push. Also burns less fuel because you’re not working the machine as hard. Basically work top to bottom , then push the fluffed spoil up the bank.

@ElGatoLoco6988 жыл бұрын
***** It's a gardening technique where you bury brush, logs, tree trunks, etc and place about a foot of top soil over the top and plant in it. The tree carcasses provide plenty of nutrients and hold water really well. I've heard of people planting stuff in hugulkutur beds and never watering and getting amazing results. It's something I've wanted to try for a few years.

@VincentGonzalezVeg4 жыл бұрын
go for it if you want, the most basic tool for digging is a "Digging stick" and that loosens the earth, me and my dad intend to get some digging machines like that, but those can cost a few thousand, he brought someone in A man spent every day after his wife died digging through a mountian to make a road to the city that would have possibly saved her, and he successfully dug through the earth I was thinking about ponds like this, and having 1 near the home and another below it, and have a dam you can use for power, along with a fish ladder, and you can have a waterwheel for power too, and on the river you can have it flow and pipe back up with solar power, using the water as a battery just like Britain does , and there are fish safe ways to collect power- even if you dont eat the fish you can use them to feed your trees and garden-i was thinking putting in a fishing/astronomy house down on the river after its been run for a few months or planned and reinforced banks around it with stone sunk into the soil with a delta dug to feed the permaculture food forest
