Today is the last day of the big fill dirt job here at the landfill before we divert the material to our Atomic Sand mine site next week. We take advantage of the fine day to excavate some more of these beautiful green rocks that have been coming in. We use the Komatsu dozer to push the fill material, the CAT mini excavator to pick them up, and the JCB tele handler to stack them. We hope to wash the rocks up and sell them at our garden center Grass Roots Yard Supply in Graniteville, South Carolina. This material is being excavated from the I-20 bridge construction site in Augusta Georgia. If anybody knows what type of rock this is I'd love for you to put it in the comments below. Thanks very much for watching!! #mining #heavy equipment #landfill
Check out our other channel Grass Roots Gardening if you like landscaping content! ‪@grassrootsgardening‬ Thanks y'all!

Pet rocks are so easy to look after bro and they don't make a mess or leave a pile for someone to clean up. Enjoyed the video too. Safe travels. Ken.

I love how you try to repurpose as much as you can. It was a great idea to save the rocks for landscaping. Very interesting.

Green in rocks usually means a high copper concentration. Copper when exposed to oxygen turns green. In my area there used to be copper mining, see alot of green rocks.

Predominantly green granite is rare, although it is sometimes available when the granite contains a green feldspar mineral called amazonite.

How Neat.. Great recycling and such a unique colour.. don't know what prices you get in your hemisphere for decorative /construction landscaping/garden rock but not cheap down here on the underside.. having not so long ago purchased 40 ton of them for a wall in the garden
