Digging for Records Part 32 He gave me all of his records for FREE!

I went to look at a private record collection very late at night and and eventfully found the guys house down a very dark country lane. He was not interested in taking any money for the records and just wanted me to take them to save him having to throw them away. Well as you can image I was very happy be given free records so here they are. Please leave a thumbs up if you like any of the records.

A few of those classical records could actually go for some money, i think the Phillips recording of Delius may have some value?. There's a VC channel called Static Traveller, guy called Alan, he did a video on classical records advising on tips for spotting valuable records, ie code/ serial/ matrix numbers on dead wax etc..may be worth checking out?

Pretty much charity shop fare, I'd say. I wouldn't want it clogging up my (limited) floor space. Blind Blake at 6:51: the one exception.

Can't argue with the price! I recently stumbled over a little stack of LPs in our neighbourhood whilst on a late night dog walk. Similar kind of thing ie. records chucked out when someone has died I suspect ☹ However in amongst them there was this one really good Elmer Bernstein soundtrack called 'Return of the 7', 1967 mono UK pressing, rare label variant (not yet on Discogs) so that was cool.

@@thevinylvault It is amazing the stuff you find on dog-walks, purely because you are out so frequently doing it. One small caveat though: many bodies of murder victims are also frequently discovered by dog-walkers.. so, swings & roundabouts... 😳

Sinatra-Basie is a great album, Basie April In Paris as well. Jazz portrait of Frank Sinatra is good as well.

I was getting very excited, and interested, until you started pulling them out, and it was a massive disappointment. I suspect the local Charity Shop will end up with these.
