California land of scrapers. I haul to some landfills in Utah they are filling old open pit mines. Much more efficient when available. It's fun to watch this and impressive but as an owner the costs to operate and maintain or rent these is unbelievable. I just got a 100 lot subdivision here and told owner we won't touch lots, let builders do it. Sewer, water, curb n gutter, sidewalk, pave it, power, gas and where done. About 5 pieces. Very little fuel. I own 2 scrapers we haven't used in 3 years. Work is shifting.

I have often wondered how/why the call is made to use 651’s and push-cats vs. 657’s teamed-up. I see the 51’s on hill work, on the flats on big jobs and everywhere the 57’s work. Is it because 57’s aren’t available? I’m not smart enough to figure out the application difference(s). Can you enlighten? Love all the SoCal videos.
@DirtSpread4 жыл бұрын
657s are self loading because they hook up. Front tractor loads first while back scraper pushes him. And then front scraper pulls while rear loads. 651 is called conventional single engine. They have to be pushed with a dozer to get a load. It’s a slower process and the single engine scraper gets lapped in the hills.

CA Governor Newsom is a Socialist giving away hard earned taxpayer dollars to illegal immigrants. I don't know how he was elected. 75 Million Dollars of your tax paid dollars will soon be given to Illegal Immigrants in CA, approved by Gov Newsom. Illegal Immigrants ARE NOT UNDOCUMENTED. Their immigration status is clearly known. They either entered this country Illegally or they overstayed their Visa time limit. Meanwhile, Americans are living on the street homeless and paying for the Immigrants to live inside subsidized housing. www.sfgate.com/news/article/California-Offers-First-COVID-19-Cash-Aid-to-15278546.php?CMS+Sharing+Tools+%28Desktop%29&fbclid=IwAR0_fDvUCHOnnLrgJHGiOto08t9HgURCt17Ay4PDd6_WONxI2s2CMRzaxzk
