I do want to get back out with the Minelab Goldmonster. I am a member of a gold club but have not had any luck. In addition, I will be in the Sacramento area in a month...time to try some panning again!

I went to Huntington today. I think I may have spared your tent stakes. I took my Surf Master Pro. It's a PI. It beeps ya dig. A total of 38 tent stakes. Not to mention a tool pouch full of bottle tops.

Thank you....your comment was funny. The chain tested negative for gold. The gold ring also was not gold but really nice. I believe the last chance ring was stainless.... was a fun day for sure!

Hello Bill, and Cristine or Christine (same same) I have followed you for sometime, and I see that you have all the goods that is needed for detecting, but I think that you should get a few more things that are very handy, like a magnet, so you can test your findings right there, and also, a loupe, the type that you can hang around your neck, just saying, oh by the way, I never leaver home without my magnet, and loupe, they stay in my pouch at all times. I hope that Cristine gets that cup cake, that was a nice bling ring.

Good video. I wondered if anyone else out there has the problems with the CKG scoop that I do. 1) The wing nut has to be tightened several times per hunt to avoid losing it altogether. 2) When hunting in the wet I get a black liquid that oozes from inside the handle out of the area where the handle and scoop attach. It will stain my clothes and runs all over my hand and the ground. Gross and disappointing.

I don't have the same issues. However, the wing nut isn't the best solution they could have used to secure it. Mine does wiggle around at the base and I am trying to figure out ways to stop that. Maybe try a locking nut that you can replace the wing nut with?
