The moment I think about the most with this one is when Tai makes it back to the real world and processes the reality that he's made it back home by some miracle after beating Etemon. 1998... the year I was in Junior High, enjoyed this show, and I still remain a fan of it to this day... Thanks for posting this... it brings back such great memories. ^_^

Takes me back to that time, coming home from school, watching Fox Kids, never missing Digimon 🥺 I know this will sound silly, but I've always considered myself a member of the Digidestined because I saw the first episode when it first aired on a Saturday morning 😂 Although I actually don't recall my childhood quite fondly, Digimon is one of the few things that brought me joy back then. Tai, Matt, Sora, T.K., Joe, Mimi, Izzy and Kari all held out their Digivices to open the portal to the Digiworld thus bid farewell to their families hoping they'll come back triumphantly.

One thing the dub nailed over the original Japanese, is the ost (Except the Hey Digimon travesty). It's so cinematic, and imo way more fitting for the whole parallel digital world theme than the original.

The guys who wrote this song are geniuses. For all the shit we give 4kids they did produce a few sweet gems. This song is so nostalgic. Man, my life was so different then. I never imagined that it would ever stop being hell. I’ve been so lucky now.

Sadly not in the same quality, these are edited from tracks released by the original composer Udi Harpaz. There are a load more movie soundtrack specific tracks on his soundcloud, a few of them were reused for Seasons 2 and 3. I have uploaded some ripped versions of some of the tracks not in this playlist like 10 years ago, named First Digivolution and First Digivolution 2 but they are pretty low quality.

@@Takeru9292 I have got them from different sources, main source is the original composer's SoundCloud. This particular track was discovered on a forum many years ago. There is a Blu-ray release of the original English dub coming out soon, hopefully that encourages Udi to release the rest!

If we didn't Digimon had a different instrumental OST for the Japanese version you'd think this OST was from a different anime or even a turn of the century JRPG; if you don't feel like following this up w/the instrumental of the American intro might I recommend this song cover kzbin.info/www/bejne/r3WUlGptbpqtY68 and just imagine a slightly different ending to the final several minutes of season 1's last episode or 'the last evolution kizuna's' ending ;)
