My action base finally came in today! I pieced this guy together about a week ago but only now got the action base to put him. All in all, almost 6 hours building him(This is my first set ever, I love Alphamon and Digimon and really needed a new hobbie) I probably wouldn't have gotten him if it weren't for you, you make getting the figures sound so fun. Thank you.

wish that left over part from omegamon X can use on this Alphamon. is missing like omegamon X stand adapter or made new adapter for Alphamon. over all is awesome model kit and yeah agree wish have ouryuken blade and another pair open hand for left too.

In terms of longevity, I'd advice against using brown panel liners because the colour tends to distort to red over time; likely due to oxidation. I just finished building the Amplified BlackWarGreymon and while it has its problem, I'm definitely looking forward to building Alphamon next, since it doesn't use any polycaps. Here's hoping there's a PBandai variant that comes with the Ouryuken and wing effects.

Funny thing is I like the panel line changing colors I just like how it looks on gold, iunno im just weird lol. I see you're slowly taking a liking to some of the amplified designs, very nice! I really dont want a Pbandai variant just because its hard to get here in Canada lol.

@@vancyhobbies I found WarGreymon to be the least offensive to my senses despite how spiky it is, haha. It was pretty good for my first Amplified. Just didn't really like how Bandai used polycaps for the legs and ball joint hips. It's the main cause for the looseness of the kit. I really don't want a PBandai variant either, but we all know its coming. :(

I waiting for mine to arrive this week or the next. That said, I got a few spray cans so I can give this awesome digi some love. You just confirmed my fear that Bandai cheaped out in the gold coloring... Meh. Thx for the review.

How were the nub marks on the gold? I'm planning on painting over it but I usually paint gold on the runners because I can just spray it over quickly, but nub marks will definitely show if I do. Also, while I like ShineGreymon, I guess Bandai's skipping Frontier and going straight to Savers. Sad

The nubs are noticeable though not horrible, I reccomend removing it off the runners to paint. I would think bandai would eventually make frontier kits like Emperorgreymon and Magnagarurumon. one day

The reason it doesn’t get the Axe is cuz Ouryuken mode is Technically a different digimon. It’s kinda sorta a fusion of Alphamon with Ouryumon even though the changes are just different color eyes some wing looking projections from the boosters and the Ouryuken blade. I think they should’ve just done that mode instead of this release since the Ouryuken mode also uses the same sword and the blast but it’s a business i guess 🤷🏽‍♂️

Seeing how Imperialdramon paladin was released we might get ouryuken mode. An ouryuken mode expansion set that's not pbandai preferably because i dont want to build a whole alphamon again lol.

I don't really find any amplified kits design attractive, so far. Hope they will release the normal version of this and Omegamon one day

As a model kit newbie interested in getting this model kit, I do have to ask does it specifically have to be Action base 1 or 4 as other bases seem to have the same 4 way connector too or is the number saying about that connector specifically and not the base number as that part seems a bit confusing?

Any action base can work so long as that adapter piece can fit on it. I jist prefer to use action base 1 and 4s which are the actual name of those display base for my bandai kits because they are quite stable. I hope that answers your question.

@Vancy Hobbies tho may I ask how well does Action base 2 work with this model if you have 1, as it's not too high off the ground but likely high enough so the cape doesn't need to work as a stand?

Due to the size of the alphamon I don't reccomend action base 2 for this kit. The base is quite small and might tip over, last thing you want is the cape bending from a fall.

This kit would be a thousand times better with a custom airbrushed paint job. I'm thinking of getting this kit but damn is it gonna require a lot of paint.

Yea... I'm not happy with all these amplified releases. They all NOT accurate to the show except for machinedramon. I buy all the standards bit they only release 2 per year so ita VERY SLOW. dissapointed the new metalgreymon is also amplified...

I have to admit, the use of stickers in this one has me disappointed. Guess I'll just have to paint those parts myself then. Either way, very nice review.👍

So omegaX and alphamon share same runners though not a lot of the parts are used. Companies do this so they dont have to engineer an entirely different runner. You can throw it out once you're done the build, or keep it for spare parts.

just bought the alphamon for a couple weeks, for the first impression its not an solid kit because the proportion similiar like imperialdramon fighter mode, but after watch that shake test, my money turned into alphamon. 🥴
