I think out of all the dark digivolutions out there, I think GulusGammamon is the most terrifying. 1. Most dark digivolutions happen because of their human partner's influence. Gulasgammamon happens completely independently of Hiro's influence. 2. Gulusgammamon is sentient, while most of the other dark digivolutions are not. Skullgreymon, Metalgreymon Virus type, Megidramon, Shinegreymon Ruin Mode. All of these forms are either feral or berserkers that operate on nothing but rage. Gulasgammamon is not only really powerful, but also intelligent enough to know when to show up.

This season looked so good i was really frustrated when it kept going nowhere, setting up plot threads that never went anywhere and how lackluster the ending was Ghost Game had all that wasneeded to succeed, the monster of the week format with a linear plot brewing in the background was very good in concept but it fumbled so bad the execution

@@prohungary8614 In ghost game universe, yes. Lore wise, GulusGammamon is what Gammamon would evolve into when the dark heart inside of him grows until it triggers the evolution. Similar to what you see in the show. Ghost games gulus was luckily a lot more reasonable than its lore counterpart. Probably due to being artificially created from a intergalactic signal and not being born from Gammamon evolving. So lore wise, gulus is a dark evolution from Gammamon. In ghost game, he's more like Gammamons dad or something🤔

Ghost Game was a good series. Though they're leaning more into the 'episodic' notion, as well as not following up on things - or if they did, they did so poorly - hurt this series. Gammamon having great evolutions, but the scenes - aside from Betelgammamon's first - were just the same. Unlike Ruri and Kiyoshiro, who you could see grow and have great moments for each evolution scene. Even if Diarribitmon's was a bit... bland, to put it lightly. Rider and Sentai are episodic, but they are still able to push whatever plot they have forward while still just having episodes with moments for just that episode. That said, I do like the evolution sequences themselves. I love when they all have the same feel and equal attention.

GulusGammamon is not a Dark Evolution. It is Gammamon's natural evolution. His natural state. It's not a corrupted form brought by Hiro's dark emotions or anything. In fact, it's not even a real evolution, it's Gammamon reverting to his natural form. It'w aht Clockmon sees when he tries to age Gammamon, it's what Petermon sees in Gammamon's past that almost kills him in a moment.

@@edchanful Basically; Hokuto [SOMEHOW; this is never explained; although it's implied through GulusGammamon's actions towards Hiro he may have been convinced by Hokuto to do this to gain Hiro's trust to digivolve further for more power] made GulusGammamon get "sealed" into the form and psyche of Gammamon. Gammamon was effectively a new being; with GulusGammamon; this true self and persona, inside him. GulusGammamon is the "true" Gammamon. This is why he breaks out when Gammamon's life is in danger. This is why Hiro's digivice stops chargeing for evolution when Gulus comes out, and why Gulus needs to synch with Hiro separately to Gammamon. A dark evolution is something driven by the tamer [or in 2020's case; the digimon's] negative emotions. GulusGammamon isn't that. GulusGammamon *breaks free*. Think of GulusGammamon like the Hulk and Gammamon like Bruce Banner

Fuse it with Susanoomon (just a bit more powerful than it due to feats) if you want to create a ridiculously fictional broken OP being able to end everything in a thought, and so strong is practically invulnerable. @@danielnu389 Proximamon basically does everything susanoomon does and more, but without control. Proximamons birth would basically instantly erase the universe due to extinction cloud. It could recreate a new universe at will but extinction cloud won't stop so it's just an endless circle of erasing and recreating. So proximamon should fuse with someone that could actually help it control extinction cloud, otherwise it's just a godlike universal limbo maschine without practical use. Problem is that besides some immortals like jesmon gx or ogudomon X, nothing could exist simultaneously with proximamon so a fusion is basically impossible.

This show might've appeased to viewers with low attention spans (no thanks to both KZbin and Tiktok [mostly]) but to older viewers (those who up to the previous series before Ghost Game), it may have drove some of them off a bit due to the fact that some thought of Ghost Game as somewhat akin to Super Sentai/Kamen Rider shows that shows "monsters of the week" (which is not too far off since both are produced by Toei) or the fact that the plot was kinda all over the place of actually there was almost no plot at all, at least that's what I can think of.

It wasn't so much that it was episodic, it was that it dropped hints of significant and interesting plot that didn't get paid off until much later (if at all), and when it finally did, it was a total WTF that raised more questions than it answered. It was a case of poor planning & pacing rather than a bad format.
