I haven’t tried my Nature Sprits or Nightmare Soldiers pen Zs yet but for the Deep Savers model I shake it horizontally across and it seems to be more accurate than up and down. Personally I really like the DM20 for the nostalgia of it had the freeze option it would be my favorite hands down. Pen 20th DM X2 / X3 DM 20 Pen Z I don’t dislike the PenZ it just feels weird that the Pen 20th and DMXs have better rosters and features than the Pen Z. You hit the nail on the bed though. It’s worthwhile just getting one Pen Z unless you want to collect them all.

Wanted to add data to the pen z doc but failed so I'll put it here. In nature spirits I had a plotmon evolve to Tailmon with 1 care mistake and 4 effort. The guide at the moment says 0 care mistakes. So it should be 0-1 care mistakes at least. I have a feeling it's 0-2 but can only confirm that you can have 1 care mistake and still get Tailmon.

At the start of the video, you missed the opportunity to have each V-pet line up with a corrosponding Digimon: Deep Savers should have been front and center over Zudomon, and Nature Spirits where it was over Triceramon! Nightmare Soldiers over Okuwagamon is less then ideal, but hey, stingmon line's on it?

these are the only devices that people for some reason slept on and are the only pendulums with a sane price, not sure if a 3x set of wave 1 is worth it vs 1 single pen20th (they are about the same price range)

I was watching a previous video and I believe you had said you like the pen 20th the most, over the x. Or maybe suggested for others more. I have a English 20th but was thinking of preording wave 2 pen z. But I'm on the fence about it. I'm not sure what would be better, the pen z, or the pen 20th. I've been watching your videos and it seems like the pen 20th has the most options/ features. Am I mistaken?

At this point in time, my ranking for modern devices is DMX > Pen20 > PenZ > DM20. Main reason DMX is on top is just because the Quest Mode is entertaining and the evolution paths are super varied, making each run a lot more interesting to me. The Pen20 is after that just because of the sheer number of Digimon, so if you are a fan of getting 100% it will keep you busy for a long time. The PenZ is definitely not bad, I just didn't like how limited the Super Ultimate options were compared to the DMX, as well as the evolution paths. They are fun devices, and I really like my Deep Savers one, but I do feel like the Pen20 is more interesting overall. The PenZ DOES still include the leveling system from the DMX though, which I definitely enjoy more than how the Pen20 works with Colosseum Battles.

While I definitely like some things about the DMX more, not really. The gameplay between the two is almost identical, it's just the mini game, roster and evolution methods that are different.

Yep! Using an arduino communicator, you can simulate connections with other device. The most common model is called an A-Com, and you can make one using the instructions here: www.alphahub.site/guide. You can also request to buy a premade one at the Discord Server found on that same page.

Hello! :) I have mine now, deep savers version. :) May I ask if it does sometimes make a very slight cracking sound a long with the "beep"? :) Sounds like the volume are not supposed to be that high which consequently make the cracking sound? It is a light adhesive, if you gently rock the screen back and forth on the board, it will safely come off. The screws on the board do most of the work of keeping it in place

Yep, it's only possible to Jogress with other Pendulum Z devices

Hey, I tried getting Flare Lizarmon using your guide but I keep getting Algomon..is it really just 3+ Care Mistakes, or there's something more to it? Tried it a few times btw but it just doesn't work for me.

@@humulomon putting Ghostmon to sleep 3 times in a row by changing the time to 6:45 am. I did that with othwers and worked like a charm. Edit: of couse without actually turning off the lights.

That would be the problem then, you only get a care mistake if the call light goes out on its own without a Digimon's need being taken care of. On the PenZ, it takes 30 minutes for the call light to go out after a Digimon becomes tired, so setting the clock to 6:45 does not give enough time for that to happen. You would need to set the clock to at least 6:29 at the latest.

Considering each goes for 60 USD boxed, I would say 110 for 3 without box should be a fine deal, assuming they are all in good condition.

You may or may not have answered this in a different video or possibly even this video and I'm just a bad listener but can you jogress with this v-pet and another from one of the 20th anniversary pets? Say using a wormmon from a knightmare soldiers Z evolved into stingmon and jogress with a Pendulum 20th Ex-Veemon to get paildramon without needing a copymon

In your evolution guide website I saw you wrote for certain child stage evolution you need to unlock the option of that digimon by "connecting" your device to other PenZ device I still dont understand what do you mean by the word connecting? As in connecting for battle?

Digimon Virtual Pets connect to battle, by attaching them to each other with the prongs on the top of the device

When we level up, we got different boost in every level. If you skipping some levels, do you still got the boost from the level that you skipped? For example, you jump from level 3 to level 5, do you still get the boost you're supposed to get from level 4?

It's done by pressing A, C and Reset at the same time, but it will delete your save data to enter Demo mode

Sadly not, it just allows you to select any Digimon to raise upon loading the device, and to be able to fast forward to help with verifying evolutions.

Diablomon X, Lord Knightmon X and Minervamon X all have that happen on the DMX1, but thankfully they prevented the issue with the DMX2 and onward. Since they have more than 255 power, the battle outcome is just decided by whomever presses the button to start the battle.

No English mod for the Pendulum Z sadly, but the Beelzebumon Ver.20th can be forced into English by soldering the JP4 connection on the board

If you have all slots unlocked, then just make sure you aren't getting care mistakes. If you don't have every slot unlocked, I don't have those requirements written yet, but if you are doing no care mistakes and max effort, that would likely not get you Morphomon

Yep, the Pen20, DMX and PenZ devices are all entirely in English except for the names of the Digimon, which does not affect gameplay. Older Digimon devices are mostly in Japanese, but are easy to navigate once you learn what each option does.

It means that Digimon lived past its expected life span, and on this device it sets your Digimon's minimum level to 3.

Kind of a dumb question but is it generally better to get all versions/color in a device line or is it OK to just get one and move on to a new version? Just got my hands on the X3 recently (thanks to proxy issues) to get back on the hobby, but it kinda sucks not being able to unlock all evolution paths since I only ordered one. I do still have my digivices and vpet from years ago to battle with but... Yeah

Debug mode is activated by opening the device up and connecting a jump point found under the screen. I do this using a soldering iron, though some people have luck just using pencil to activate it.

You have to consider that Japan pays more for most things. The Digimon 20th were about 4000 yen in Japan if I remember right, so 40 USD, versus the 20 USD they cost in the US. The Pendulum Z retail for a similar price in Japan, too, about 4000 yen. But if you buy all 3 they cost more, but they also become rare and you deal with pricegougers, so they all inflate in price into the hundreds.
