I've been playing 2 magnangemon aces in my build. Card is really good for this deck, cheap level 5 when you don't have mirei, a nice -dp effect and healing when needed. Card feels like it was made for us.

Great to see the passion for Digimon is still there :D Not sure if I'd like to see cheaper hell-scythe or chaos-degrade, but more ways to cost-reduce playing existing options could be cool, some form of 'option' training cards.

My partner just started playing again and I'm trying to retool their old Maste deck, will definitely try this out! They like yellow best too (fav deck is 4 great dragons and they're eagerly waiting Goldramon X) so that's a bonus.

Thanks for this decklist Alec! Been trying to find decklists for changing over to yellow Mastemon from purple but couldn't find a good one. I think this video definitely gave me a good starting point. Question though, have you thought of running the St-10 Salamon over Candlemon?

Just got back into the game after about a year and a half. I just ordered the cards I needed to upgrade my Mastemon deck to this and am excited to play the deck when they all get here in a few weeks. The only card I didn’t order was Shinegreymon Ruin Mode. It’s over $50 for the card, I already dropped over $100 to upgrade the deck. Surveying other options to run instead.

Heaven's Knuckle is either -6000DP or delete Angemon to bottom security stack an opponent's digimon. I run 3 Angemons so might as well.

I have no sec angemons, so guess I’m stuck with bt11 ones. Atm I’m sitting with yellow and purple Kari, as well as 4 Mirei. No rookies atm but will probs def go with the patamon, not sure what else, as I can’t find my bt13 bulk (so no kudamon) also have 1 Meicrackmon, only 1 Lucemon Chaod and 1 Ophani Falldown. Will probs put ruin mode in but only have 1 of them so need to work out what deck I want it in…….hmmmmm ruin mode in Leviamon X deck? XD

I’m curious to know your opinion on Bandi aiming to have the Digimon tcg released in JP and EN simultaneously (from BT-20 onward). Most people I’ve see talk about it have been generally excited but I know a few people are weary of what that could mean for product releases though if I understood them correctly it sounds like they’d to a Special boost 1/1.5 type release with Bt 18-20.

I just had my 2nd Digimon tournament. Been playing lots of it. I played something similar to this today. I got last in ranking again with my Diarbbittmon. I learned a lot though. This 2nd tournament was a lot better and I had close games. I've played red and blackwargreymon, and just the x antibody stuff in this game is just too broken and it can do too much. That doesn't really take skill. So I'm actually gonna sell my Digimon stuff and just stick with Pokemon. I tried it, but it's just not fun how they have these x antibody cards for no cost and you get to draw into more x antibody stuff, then you swing for 3 checks l, reboot and swing again 😂. Not fun guys...

Yes but you want to see it to out certain situations cutting down on it reduces that likeness

Lucemon is generally a big part of Mastemon's most powerful plays, so while you can run 1 if absolutely need be, running 2 is just safer.

Have you playtested this version of the deck? Because watching this as a Mastemon main just highlights why I have never been keen on the yellow base that folks have been hyping up since patamon was shown off. Losing out on your purple eggs leaves you with far fewer ways of setting up your trash, and trash setup is a requirement for this deck. You also lose out on the utility that ignitemon provides with it's when attacking effect, and you lose out on psychemon which may not be that big a deal in bt 14 format (I haven't had a chance to play in it, sadly ), but if your meta still runs stuff like royal knights then there's no better way to get free wins then bullying them with psychemon. Sure, they may answers for psychemon, but we're a purple deck. We can play our cards a billion times if need be. I dunno. Patamon's a great tool for Yellow decks, but I think it's a trap for Mastemon. At least at the moment.
