Say what you want about the digimon movie. But back when I saw this scene as a little dude I was sitting at the edge of my sit praying. I repeatedly said Wargreymon, Metalgarurumon you can do it. This scene to me shows no matter how much you body is hurting, no matter how many times the bad guys beats you down you stand up and get back into the fight. Some kids had superman or batman as there childhood heroes. For me those superheroes was Wargreymon and Metalgarurumon.

I love how all of the characters (that types their emails to WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon) seen in 0:38-0:50 would later appear in Adventure 02 (especially during the World Tour arc). Nice foreshadowing that the children seen here would become Digi-Destined in 02. Most notably Yolei at 0:38, who is a main character in 02.

the best part is the cameos of both yolei and Ryu. Yolei who later becomes a digidestend in zero 2 (part 3 of the movie) and Ryu who also appears in the same series and after a battle against millieniumon and kinda won' got hurtled through time and space into digimon tamers that came after. This means this scene teases 2 later series to come!

I love how the uploading tubes get more and more sinister as they travel through them for each fight. It was a nice welcome white and with the colourful highlights and now it's a warped yellow with reds. Let's not forget that Agumon has been in the fight the longest as Tentomon and Patomon tapped out after the second bout and Gabumon was late to the party.

Those scenes really brought back the nostalgia for me. I love the movie even to this day. Yeah, it's flawed, its the perfect time capsule for early 2000s dubs. I still some parts of the movie, scene for scene all these years later. I had it on VHS (if anyone remembers those) & watched it about a dozen times in a single week. They really don't make dubs like these anymore. Really looking forward to the upcoming rerelease of the movie segments, & hope they keep a lot of what made the original dub so memorable.
