It's kinda funny coming back to this one two years later, rewatching it and not hating it? I think the majority of the video is great and the overall feel as well but man if I were to do it again id adjust my cadence in the later gameplay section as I go over difficulty.

It’s a great video, and I think it stands strong along side your sleuth videos too! I hadn’t heard of this entry before now, very casual fan since childhood, and it was cool to hear about it knowing what I do about the games that came out after

Congrats on the algorithm picking up your review of Cyber Sleuth! I hope you keep making videos

I'm very luck and also happy it didnt happen on my first video, I feel like I have alot to learn still about video creation. I am currently working on a new video I hope to be out soon by next friday as well.

so feel free to ignore this comment just me sounding off things I want to improve on for next time. Given this is my first full length video in a long while a lot of this videos production was basically shaking off cobwebs and re-learning how to do things. I think it really shows in the voiced audio where it can be inconsistent since it was many takes and many different mic setups over the 1-2 months I was slowly working on this. So the first thing I want to try to improve for next time is being both consistent but also livening up my voice for even better commentary. I also want to try and do the background music better since I think it may not as well done as I hoped to do but ah well. feel free to respond to this comment with things you'd like to see improved too, I can't promise everything at once but I can promise I will try to get better!

Excellent video, you've opened my eyes to a game in a series I'm not too familiar with and I look forward to more digimon shenanigans in the future!! You gave a great and comprehensive overview of what to expect, both pros and cons, and delivered it in an engaging way! Keep up the good work uwub

I got this game in the wake of having returned to Digimon after years with Cybersleuth and... I liked it but sucked horribly at it. That first Machinedramon fight? Yeah, that sent me into my digimon dying on me and then training at the gym for *hours*. I honestly shelved the game a year or so, despite liking the overall idea. It wasn't until YT randomly recommended me a battle guide for the game that told me about the ridiculous stat gains for fighting with Rookies. The game to my knowledge never even hinted at that, even discouraging it by telling you to train at the gym before venturing out. Which I think is the game's biggest flaw. Encouraging the player to venture out instead of playing slots at the gym would make it much more intuitive. The only way my paranoid butt started to have fun with the game was someone else telling me to get out there and beat up BlackGarurumon, when the game only encouraged me to do a monotone task for RL hours. However, once I learned about the stat gains from higher level enemies, my time with it became a lot better. It really IS a janky and weirdly balanced experience, but other than the game encouraging and discouraging the wrong things in its explanatory sections I think this actually works to the game's advantage. Not knowing if the next boss will demolish you or not is what adds to the adventure into the unknown feel that RPGs with foreign worlds should have imo. It really isn't something I'd recommend to just anyone, but I ended up really liking the game in the end.

IIRC, the difficulty curve issue is because Easy Mode was actually the Japanese Normal Mode.
@BobbyHopp Жыл бұрын
Yeah I learned more about this after the review, I hope to remake the video one day and include this. actually even discounting the difficulty modes I think the original next order was just alot easier in general with most enemies being substantially weaker

given i've been uncertain about getting this game for a while now, the in-depth review is much appreciated! still not sure if i'm gonna get it, but i do like Digimon and also seeing big numbers get bigger so maaaaybe good video man

if you're still indecisive maybe give it some time then or maybe even wait for a sale. This is one of those titles that I can see getting cheaper and cheaper as time goes on so you're in no rush. Do what is best for you and thanks for watching!

I have played NEXT ORDER so much and so often I can get Palmon's line up to mega without the games help. That also how I proved it's nearly impossible to beat NEXT ORDER on Gen1. I'm going to get there one day! I will beat the game with First Gen Digimon!
@BobbyHopp9 ай бұрын
I respect the grind and the fact youre able to make it far at all on a first gen is impressive as hell, good job. always good to see another Next Order fan.

while you are training your digimon back up to progress further in the game you can do other things like farm resources to upgrade the city or farm money to build up your stockpile of support items to help you on your adventure

thats definitely a good point thank you, honestly kinda wanna remake this video someday

@@BobbyHopp that too it’s just the portable aspect seems like a natural thing for a game like this to me to I personally prefer handhelds 😅

that makes sense given it was originally a vita game actually atleast bc of backwards compatibility ps5 owners can play it too

i do commonly say "this pokemon looks like a digimon" but i like digimon and dont even say that just referring to pokemon i dont like. just for some reason certain pokemon look like theyd be a digimon to me. idk why.
@eniltonrogerio3169 Жыл бұрын
I think some pokemon that go for that cool factor or kinda have some super sentai look to them look like digimon a little, like mega heracross or even kyurem
