I really like this judge. We need more like him, especially here in California.

We NEED more Judges who do their jobs based on the LAW. We have a great Judge here in Plymouth MI who like this Judge is no nonsense. However, he does his job based on the LAW.

I love Judge Fleischer. He actually cares and it shows. He always makes sure a person understands consequences of making certain agreements and pleas. Its great to see because some judges don't explaint things as well as he does for people. He knows what it's like to grow up in tough times too as a first generation American. He is what this country is all about.

I wish they would video tape in Illinois. I would be a good way to see if the judges we elect are doing their jobs. Illinois started a no cash bail system last year. The middle guy in the trio might be too dim to know a good deal.

I understand the translator speaking while the judge is talking but I am hearing much more talking in the background. Why is the judge isn't demanding total silence in the court , other than the occasional sushing ?
@baileyfarlowe17 күн бұрын
It’s probably that the mic picks it up but in the actual room the judge can’t hear it
@IcariumGaming17 күн бұрын
Because if the speaking doesn't interfere with his duties, or the ability for the defendant to hear, then demanding complete silence doesn't accomplish anything. Some judges treat it as disrespect, but this guy seems very reasonable. There are lawyers and other defendants waiting to be heard by the judge. It allows them to still talk to their client while waiting.
@Ray-gf9su19 күн бұрын
I am surprised at how many plea deals results in minimal time in the slammer.
@IcariumGaming17 күн бұрын
Because they are all first time offences. Even the guy who had picked up four more charges while on bond. It was his first time being convicted. Punishing a person like that severely, only increases the likelihood of recidivism. Placing them in an even worse spot financially and emotionally.

What on earth is an anti-theft class? Does it teach you how not to get caught while in the act of intentionally subracting a valuable from a private o public subject that does not belong to you? What about understanding that people work long hard hours to buy whatever they need or want and because of your egotistical will you decide to just tak away what they worked for like a self centered king would be able to do?

I have been to court a handful of times and I have never seen a judge need to shush others in the courtroom especially on a regular basis he’s always having to quiet people
@IcariumGaming17 күн бұрын
What kind of court have you been too? It is down to the discretion of the judge, and lawyers learn what is allowed or not allowed with each judge. He seems very reasonable and allows lawyers to talk with their clients, if it doesn't interfere with his business or the defendants ability to listen/work with an interpreter.

@ criminal court but I always discussed before with my lawyers and one county I was in we checked in at 9 and waited in a holding area with attorneys till your turn before the judge

First case I find funny: I work in sales throughout the entire country where I live. We have paytoll highways...they are very secure with SOS lane, service areas, SOS areas snd everything needed to be as safe as possible. I travel about 50k miles a year by car...if I don't see anyone close in the rear view mirror I'm not going to spend time flicking my blinker to turn...the same as I will ALWAYS REFUSE to stop at a Stop sign in the smack m8ddke of a desert intersection where I can see vehicles miles away before the intersection...I will slow down but if I don't see anyone around on a crossing with a stop sign in the smack midle of nowhere with miles visibility I will NOT be so much of a LOW IQ individual to need a stated general rule to not hurt anybody. It dogs take a genius to lnow how to act especially in areas that are practically uninhabited. Society is a pyramid of rules based on levels and spheres of respect. Learn how the spheres work, where they touch, where they overlap,where they don't touch then learn the relations amongst the spheres...if you understand that then you will always understand what us right, wrong and how to conduct feelings to a general justice.

Our judicial system is garbage. Case 5 is a prime example. Person with a criminal history is able to get 3 out of the 4 charges dropped because he pleads guilty on the 4th. All charges should be valid. The state shouldn't drop charges because he decides to plead on one of the others.
@bobmazzi743518 күн бұрын
The flip side is that cops are trained to pile on charges to prep for deals like this. I don't know if that's the case here, but if the one charge was the major one and the others were pile on charges the deal might be legit. On the other hand, if all four were legit, dropping three was a real bargain for him.
@Xsquader16 күн бұрын
I believe the reason they do these plea bargains is that it guarantees the DA a conviction, and it saves the taxpayers a lot of money. Sometimes the prosecution also has a poor case and think they might not succeed in court so they throw the plea bargain to, as I said, guarantee a conviction. It is hard not to take a plea bargain when you have no bond, but if you are innocent and out on bond, make those prosecutors earn their pay.

Wow, if I got caught drink driving, no license, no insurance & causing an accident I’d love to be up in front of judge Fleischer, he talks hard but if the softest judge I’ve ever seen, there’s virtually no consequences for these offences unless they’re mandatory, why would anyone stop doing illegal things when the judge just threatens without meaning the threats

@ That's not how grown men act. "They walk out rolling their eyes, laughing with their friends how they got off as expected" is something I'd expect from a kid that just walked out of the principal's office. And yes, we've ALL been there, because we were all at one point children.
