Great vid this. I don't have your set up and just want to use the td3 with my digitakt, I can get my head round the midi but the audio I'm stuck on. Do I have to get a mixer or can I route audio from td3 into my digitakt? Thank you 😁

You certainly can run td3 audio into the digitakt and use it's fx also!

Great tutorial- and some lovely acid sounds sequenced on the TD3- I like how you set things up to add fills and changes, too. I'm just trying to get to grips with my Digitakt (I had a Novation circuit then a circuit tracks, so the Elektron workflow is new to me).

I had gotten pretty quick with my keystep connected to the digitakt. Thankfully I can still route midi from the digitakt to whichever synth via the force usb. I wanted an analogue four after watching your set lol

It appears that my digitakt isn't sending gate off info to my td-3; it will play one note at full volume and any subsequent notes will play, but volume fades out quickly and then no more notes will play. Play with note length and volume doesn't make any changes. Have you encountered this? Thanks in advance!

Cool! Do you know if you can send control changes from the digitakt to the TD3? In live recording from digitakt for exemple open cutoff or add resonance for steps? Thanks

These original TD3's don't support CC, the newer Devilfish style modded one does have CC on cutoff but not sure it can do the classic sounds or how well it works. Pretty much just got to get hands on with the cutoff while recording with TD3 and 303, The Roland TB-3 and TB-03 both support CC on Cutoff and Res though.

I do not have a digitone , I know the digitakt filters out aftertouch and pitchbend (not a big deal on a TD3), anyway, Digitone as main controller, connect its midi out to digitakt midi in, make sure its only sending midi clock not notes to digitakt. Then control you can make sowhen you change pattern on digitone the digitakt will follow, then have digitakt set up like my video, it should be passing the clock from the digitone to the td3. you could do it different ways if you introduced midi splitters and usb midi etc. hopefully that works

I had half finished a little video About that. I should finish it. But basically use the FILL trig conditions. As long as you are not in sequence editing mode page button will cause FILL notes to play

Make sure the trigs at set to C-5, the default might be out of range of the td3

I'm confused how you switched patterns. Are tracks 9-16 basically midi tracks with different notes? Are they all different midi channels?

You can set tracks 9 to 16 to be whatever midi channel you want. So I usually have about 4 tracks going to same midi channel and so I can switch between them

I found the answer actually the multi trigger was on and the key priority was set to low

It has some sysex over usb but not midi din, as far as I can you cannot send the filter CC messages, shame the digitakt is good at it.

BTW, the analog rytm lets me control sound only from internal, i want to control td3 sound from external that means, i want to sequence td3 from analog rytm but i want to control sound using td3 knobs :(, vcan u help me ?

For me it doesnt really Work Out. The TD3 still plays the Programmed Pattern and i dont know why. Its on Beat but i want to use the sequencer of the digitakt to Control the td3.

Make sure the digitakt isn't sending midi transport. Should be in the digitakt settings. Or change the clock source on the td3 probably should stop it auto playing as well

I have my digitakt and td-3 going into a mixer. If you don't have a mixer you will have to run the td-3 into the digitakt input and turn monitoring.

Is it possible to use the Digitakt LFO's to modulate parameters on the TD-3?

The td-3 has no midi cc support, I believe the MO version has a cc for cutoff, for full CC support will need to look elsewhere
