I was at the Hudson Valley Mall back on Tuesday when we took a tour of the NCG Cinema (formerly Regal Cinemas), I’ve seen so many digital projectors that replaced the traditional 35mm film projector which I missed the most. They’re all equipped with NEC digital cinema projectors which were the most expensive movie projectors that you can find in the projection booth. NEC is the same company that made the TurboGrafx 16, the first and only 16-Bit video game console in 1989.

So are the trailers stored on a server or does it come with the movies themselves on the hard drive?
@atalakeanumonarshi1294 жыл бұрын
Most likely stored on a massive high speed storage server ( storinator ) using 10 gig ethernet or so. But you could actually play other stuff on the projector ( basically using it as a normal everyday projector ) at least the cinemas where i’m working right now...

not really comparing to the old film projectors the film use to get scratched and created grains

digital is a fraction of the perceived resolution of even 35mm prints.
