When I first heard of organizing with PARA I had serious anxiety about putting EVERYTHING in one archive folder, but over a year later I've only needed a handful of files in that archive. It works!

I've taken your archive idea one step further. I have a script in my Obsidian (my main SB) that automatically moves every new note to a folder of the month when it was created. They get auto-tagged for review but if i forget then they've already got out of the way, no stress. Thanks for the inspiration!

I use the archive folder method regularly, particularly with my email inbox before a significant work break. It's so much easier to get on top of stuff without the overwhelm.

Excellent content. I really loved every section of it. Well, after a long time, I replayed each section multiple times and also I paused the video and picked up on a line and was fascinated to see that it can be used in multiple ways and in different situations. Each sentence is carefully framed and delivered. This actually has a lot of substance and weightage to this. Definitely would take many more years to identify how to make these points to work out for me and get comfortable doing it regularly and diligently. Thank you for such a video.

I have been unsubscribing many emails and usually every other week I clear my emails. It is more my digital filing system that is out of control, it all relates to university. That's what I really want to get a handle on and sustainably file correctly and not just on a whim.

5:20 - Keeping all files for your projects synchronized between a task manager, note-taking app, and cloud storage makes sense. However, what specific files do you keep in the cloud versus the note-taking app?
@TiagoForteКүн бұрын
Notetaking apps are typically not the right place to store photos, videos, very large files, and specialized files. And of course, Google Docs, Sheets, etc. naturally live in the cloud and not in a notetaking app.

Just curious about Gmail archiving. Is there ever a limit (either time based or storage based) when Google will start to remove old archived emails permanently? That is a fear of mine.

I’ve applied this approach but I get stuck. When it comes to Projects, do you combine all of them from 9-5, businesses, and personal?

I do not believe to this reset method. I find it more easier and relaxing not to worry about piling email messages, my inbox is someone else's priority list. I have found peace having everything in Obsidian, this way I never forget anything, I find everything I need at once, never have to reset anything.
