I’m curious. Are you using pictures of the original model for your reference, or the revel model kits or some Fanon references or what? You’re doing a good job, I’m just curious where you’re culling from

i'm helping peter with the project. we're using photos of the original model, photos of very accurate replica models, pretty much anything else we can get our hands on, and also lots of photos being supplied by the community of the original parts from the original model kits. most of the 'greeble' on this model has been cataloged by the fan community, so almost every single one of the tiny little parts is known. there are people who have collected the kits, and some of them are helping us out. i'm just the technical 3d guy, i'm helping with file wrangling and format things, optimization, rendering.. stuff like that. peter is doing all the real work. =] many other people are contributing, though. its a pretty intense project.

@@IIIDemon I can imagine! The original miniature was six feet long and had hundreds of kit-bashed parts on it! And many of those were just eyeballed in by the builders, so, yeah, I imagine it’s amazingly difficult. Thank you for doing it!
