There are two distributive laws: 1) x(y+z) = xy + xz 2) x + yz = (x+y)(x+z) In this case, it is the second option, and then you substitute the capital letters in the example of the form B' + AB = (B' + A)(B' + B) = B' + A.

Thanks your video. I have a vice verse question. Can you tell me if I expanded it correctly or not. Expand the following Boolean functions into their canonical form f(X,Y,Z)=XY+YZ+ X’Z+ X’Y’ My Answer: = XY (1) + YZ (1) + X’Z (1) + X’Y’ (1) = XY (Z’ + Z) + YZ (X’ + X) + X’Y’ (Z’ + Z) = XYZ’ + XYZ + X’YZ + XYZ + X’Y’Z’ + X’Y’Z

@rushmickie 2 months later i bring you an answer! as he said it's called the absorption property (basically laws called "axiom" that have been proven true) best way for you to understand it yourself is by substituting 1 for "B" and 0 for "A" in this equation [B' + AB = B' A] you'll get 0 = 0 if you switch the numbers you'll get 1 = 1 remember to follow the order of operations Not, And, Or now google Axioms and you should find a list
